Sam reminds me of the horses we rescue. Scarred, skittish, and…strong. Beautiful. He’s a bit of a hat-stealer, and, truth be told, I’m a little leery of his chosen profession. The things he does in front of a camera...well, it makes me blush just thinkin' about it. But if that scar on his face is any indication, he could use somebody at his back. I aim to be that person. And yeah, some of my parts get confused by the fact that he’s all delicate and sparkly, but that’s not important. Even if the good hand lotion has somehow made it into the tack room.

The woman's killing me. I'm not the kind of man who would normally consider blurring the lines between landlord and tenant or boss and employee, but Summer is a walking temptation. Story comment: All i'm looking for in a book is to be lost in a good story for a few hours and this one ticks the box 😊
The characters are likeable and the pace is good, I'd call ít an easy, low drama, opposite attracts listen. Kaz, an animal rights activist learns the noise of protesting isn't dialogue and cowboy Graham discovers his submissive nature blossoms under Kaz's masterful skills with a rope.
The rift between best friends tugged at my heartstrings, but I have faith it will be sorted in time. I liked that Graham and Kaz need to compromise to make their relationship work and find middle ground.
Narrator comment: I enjoyed Michael Ferraiuolo's narration and think he's done a good job narrating Middle Ground. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the voices suited the characters personalities. The rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the characters and their story to life.
