Publisher's Summary

Lucas has big plans. He wants to graduate, go to law-school, and become an advocate for omega rights. To accomplish all that, though, there's a secret he needs to keep - no one can ever discover that he’s omega. So far, everything’s gone to plan, until he finds himself rooming with the hottest alpha on campus.

At first glance, Adam seems to have it all. He's an alpha, a star player on the college football team, and heir to his parents' extremely successful business. His future is secure, except it's not the future he wants. He's not interested in their money or the willing omegas with whom his mother would love to set him up. What he is interested in is his new roommate, though he knows his chances are slim. Lucas is a beta after all, and beta males are rarely interested in other men. Still, he has to try his luck, even if it means disappointing his parents.

A drink too many at a frat party leads to a night of passion and unexpected consequences for both young men. While Lucas fights to save the career he’s always dreamed of, Adam fights to save the family he never knew he wanted. And they learn that, together, all battles can be won.

Or Something More

While this is a stand alone it is at the edge of the Oceanport series and some of the younger generation are side characters in this story. Lucas has big dreams and is willing to hide who he really is to get it. Adam knows who he is but is a bit confused about his feelings for his roommate. Of course things get out of hand and then a whole lot of truth has to come out. But Adam is strong enough to go with the roll and continue to support Lucas' dreams. Lucas also learns that you can be true to yourself without sacrificing all your dreams. I loved how these two work it out and get it together.

Cute!

This was a very cute opposites attract kind of story. It's not every day you read an omega hiding as a beta but makes me think about woman in our own society. This is a great feel good book with some yr at action and wonderful narration.

Roommates to Lovers

It's a short listen but a very enjoyable story. Lucas and Adam start out as just roommates but turn into so much more. Of course Adam didn't know Lucas was an omega which leads to consequences that they must face. Neither one is happy with their lot in life but together they may just be able to build the future and family they have always wanted, they just didn't know it. I really liked watching them grow closer and working together for their future. The narrator did a great job with his interpretation of the characters and the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Roommates

How does one continue to keep his secret when the alpha of his dreams becomes his roomate? Lucas has been hiding his omega status for sometime now but when Adam comes to be his new roommate their lives will be forever changed. I enjoyed Lucas and Adam's story. Lucas has sen the worst that can happen to an omega and he is determined to fix the way things are now and having any kind of relationship with Adam is only asking for trouble. Even knowing this Lucas lets his guard down and the trouble comes calling. Adam and Lucas are meant for each other and it seems that nothing will stand in their way. It was nice to watch their relationship begin to take shape. Trust and love are earned in this story and Adam steps up and shows what a good man he is. The two make a nice couple and it was nice to see them fight for what they want. The author does a good job if bringing depth to these characters and their story. Narrator John Solo does a wonderful job of keeping the story flowing and bringing life into this story. I was quickly lost in the adventures of Lucas and Adam as I listened to the narration of their story.

Fun college roommates become lovers mpreg romance!

This takes place in the same 'verse as the Oceanport Omegas. The kids are all grown up! And they're off to college! We met many of these characters when they were babies or kids growing up in Oceanport, and it's so crazy that they're teenagers and starting their own independent lives now. Yes, you could read this as a standalone, but I think you'd get more enjoyment after having read the original series. The blurb is pretty self-explanatory - Lucas is hiding his omega status as he attends college, with hopes to become a lawyer so he can help defend omega rights. He finds himself with a new roommate - an alpha senior, Adam, who is also a football player with parents breathing down his neck to take over the family business and find a proper omega. Their chemistry is great when they are together, and eventually the two give in to their connection and those crazy alpha/omega hormones. You can guess what happens. I kinda loved that it wasn't all sunshine and puppies, Lucas has some serious decisions to make, and I liked that in him. Adam was very supportive, a great alpha for Lucas, and someone that will definitely support him as Lucas finishes up school and works to achieve his dreams. I think I would have appreciated a bit more from Adam's family towards the end, what they thought of everything that had happened, but this was an excellent bridge or start to the spin-off series! Can't wait for Nathan and Raph, and Jake and Conner, and more in The Next Generation of Oceanport residents!

So Good

Adam and Lucas story is a really great way to unwind, I make no secret that I love these two authors and this didn't disappoint me at all. John Solo once again gave this such depth each character came to life. Both MCs have problems but their chemistry is off the charts, another Audible that I will be listening to again, definitely recommended.

Loved It!

Yet another great listen from Ms AKB! I loved the Oceanport Omega’s series, so this much awaited spinoff to the main series was definitely worth the wait! If you loved the main series, then you will definitely want to listen to this. Although only one of the children from the original series was part of the story, (Connor who is now grown up and at college), you still get the essence of Oceanport as the undertone of the storyline. Highly recommend and definitely a great listen! 🥰

The rights of an omega!

Why hide behind a Beta mask? Omegas don’t have the same privileges even if they all deserve it. So he’s hiding his scent but not his true self. I like that the Alpha in the story is understanding and ever so loving. They make a super cute couple.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening. it's like a B

Lovely story

Intriguing world. I loved the premise of the book and really enjoyed Lucas (Omega/Beta) who is real studious rooms with a partying Jock needing to be tutored Adam (Alpha). The pair are meant to be together and the consequences it being when they do get together is hysterical. Truly loved it
