Publisher's Summary

If you had the chance to grab on to happiness and not let go, would you?

Kathryn Hawthorne, local Chicago celebrity, thinks everything in her life is just fine. She has friends, money, a job - everything she needs to survive. Except, of course, love, which, after getting her heart broken, she avoids like the plague. Pam Phillips, on the other hand, just buried the love of her life - her husband of 21 years. The last thing she wants is a new friend, let alone a new love interest. When the two women meet and swap witty banter, things start to change. Kathryn can feel that familiar tug of desire in her chest as she suggests - in a smooth as silk way - that they meet up again someday. In a moment of pure insanity - or desperation - Pam decides to take a chance. What happens next changes Pam's life forever.

Terrible, even by the standards of the genre

I know a lot of lesbian romances are cheesy and formulaic, but this one is actually just badly written. Couldn’t get through more than an hour

Enjoyed the book.

I really liked the storyline although I thought in was a little rushed in some places. Thought the pwrformance was excellent and would listen to her read to me again.

Excellent book

Where does Falling into Her rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is definitely in my top ten. The story itself is fantastic. Better narration would have made a huge difference.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I personally identified with Kathryn. I have been where she was prior to meeting Pam, not allowing myself to become involved with people or get close to them.

Did L.W. Salinas do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

No. She did not use the same voice consistently for individual characters throughout the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Girl meets girl, dyke drama ensues.

Any additional comments?

This book had just enough angst to keep it from being boring, but not so much that you want to throw something. It is fantastic, and I am surprised this comes from a first time author.
