Publisher's summary

After nearly two decades in the rock-and-roll business, Jace Logan has seen and done it all. It’s been a long time since someone told him no regarding anything. Until her. She’s different.

She’s gorgeous, sexy, and oddly familiar, but he can’t figure out why. When she shuts him down, she only makes herself that much more intriguing and he’s determined to find out more. What he discovers leaves him reeling.

Eva D’Agolino is a single, successful working mother of twin boys, but she wasn’t always a paragon of corporate responsibility. Once a part of the rock-and-roll life herself, she traded in the glitz and glamor for her kids. These days, she prefers to live and work behind the curtain instead of center stage.

Denying Jace completely proves impossible, but she’s no fool. She’s already been down that road and knows how the song ends.

Can Jace convince Eva that he’s nothing like her ex, and that theirs is truly a love song for the ages?

Great narration

This book was hard to finish. I found myself skipping ahead during Eva's POV... She was very juvenile, acting more like a 20 year old than a woman in her mid - thirties.
Overall, just an OK listen. Jacob Morgan is wonderful as always.

Good book

The book was really good! I usually don’t like the girl speaking the guys part when the guy is supposed to talk, but these narrators weren’t bad at all at it!

The book overall was really good!

3.5 Stars

I loved the interactions with Saraya and Graham, and the Dear Ida column, it was fun to revisit that. But besides those moments, I'm not sure how much I really enjoyed the story. It was well written, and I did like the characters, but the story itself was just okay for me. I listened to the audiobook, which was amazing, just not enough to keep me engaged like I wanted to be.

Rockstar meets Dream Woman

I absolutely loved Jace from the moment we meet him on the page. I fell harder once I realized that he has a heart of gold. I loved how he was so patient and understanding to everything Eva had endured with her ex.

I loved these two together, and it was perfectly understanding how Eva responded in this situation considering her past.

Although I get chest pains with intense angst, this book could have stood to have something of that variety included, but it was an enjoyable time.

This is a great listen!! Who doesn’t like a happy ending with a little bottle of trouble and romance along the way. Enjoy!!!

This was an alright listen...some steam.

There are some slow parts that felt like an info dump and other parts felt like something was left out 🤨. I felt like all the focus was on the h and her situation and not so much the romance 😑 but there was some. The more I write the more irritated I get. This was a meh story. Nice af cover though 😏 and narrators did great.

Eye roll!

I HATE, when the women is an absolute bitch, who does crappy things like leave the guy, when she has no freaking justification behind it . Then the writer turns around and makes the guy grovel, beg, and apologize, when the women is the one who should be begging and pleading that the guy forgive her... ugh. Totally could of been a fabulous book right up until the this author showed that she believes women are all that matter, and men should be weak and pathetic! Want to push forward women being strong, then write them as capable of admitting when they are wrong and show their strength as capable of learning instead of always playing victim..
