After nine years, we’ve both grown up, but our mutual dislike lingers. Though I can’t deny he is the sexiest man I have ever seen in my life. His piercing blue eyes, gorgeous rugged face, and muscular, tall figure belong on magazine covers. But he’s still a smug bastard, and I’m still the annoying little “Baby K”.

Spending every minute together in a tiny camper van starts to twist the lines of hate, igniting feelings and passions I’ve never felt before, shoving me out of my safety bubble. Tension grows, and nights are filled with strain and forbidden desire.

But I can feel him holding back. Cagey and cryptic, Smith’s dark past hints at the surface.

When it finds us, nothing could have prepared me for the truth - the secrets that flip everything upside down.

A great adventure

Very well narrated by both readers. The story is good, kept my attention and had enough conflict to make it interesting. The blurb tells you that Smith is Kinsley’s sister’s ex, but there is the ick factor that they both slept with the same man. I always hate when siblings sleep with the same person, but if that’s not a thing for you, then the rest of the story is great.
They both learn how to really live life and to do it together.

Great Story

The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.
You don’t need to read the first book but if you want to....

Best “hate-love-hate” road trip ever!

This is just the best roadtrip story ever! Fantastic story and characters. Everything flowed seamlessly. The character development was perfect and the intrigue and secrets were just right. Honestly, one of my favorite books in that last couple years.
Of course the amazing narration duo of Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke made it even more enjoyable. They are sooo good at their jobs! Maxine is easily one of the expressive narrators in the business and Jason just makes everything sound sexy - exactly what Smith’s character is all about. Perfect casting by the author!!

Loved this story

The Hero Club stories have been hit and miss. This one was a hit for me, I’ll have to check to see if Stacey Brown has written other stories.

Good Story Great Narration

Another Hero Club story that I really liked. This one is a forced-proximity/road trip story that had just the right amount of angst .
Narration by Maxine Mitchell and Jason Clarke. Maxine is simply the best and Jason is always great.

Another Bastard hero club 📖

Another great story with 2 of my favorite narrators.. Jason Clarke can do all of the narration 4 the escape package n I’ll be the happiest person ever 🥰🥰. Can’t wait for the next one

Great story and likable characters. I read this thru twice and the second time I caught things I missed the first time around. Great read!

Smug Bastard

This is the first book I have had the pleasure to read by Stacie Marie Brown. I was not disappointed. This was a wonderful addition to the Cocky Hero series. This was a fun, entertaining, and heartfelt journey to go on with Kingsley and Smith. I absolutely enjoyed this book.
