Rivals is an emotional journey full of ups and downs. This is Tyler and Annie's full story that's packed with all the feels, steam and off the charts chemistry that will pull you in and have you feeling as if you are living their story with them.
As for Rose Dioro and Teddy Hamiltion, they did an amazing job portraying these characters and all their emotions.

That’s Life!

What a stunning homage to growing up and making choices for life versus making choices for love. So many of us reach this fork in the road at some point in our lives and Annie and Tyler’s portrayal was realistic, heartbreaking, and rewarding all at the same time. Also finding your feet outside the influence of your parents was a strong theme and wow, both of these characters rose to that challenge. So relatable and honest. Truly embraced this story and these characters.

Loved this series! Tyler and Annie are amazing

This Audio book was an unexpected surprise. Piper did a fabulous job of combing this series into one book. The Rivals Series is composed of A Love Song for Liars, A Love Song for Rebels, and A Love Song for Dreamers. Now we have these amazing stories all in one book.
This story is a teenage, young adult, angsty, forbidden, friends to lovers, second chance romance story that expands over a 8-10 years. Annie and Tyler met in high school. They were their first loves, first heartbreaks, first hopes, and first dreams. With a young age comes sacrifices. They had to put their love on hold through out the book to get to a place of growth, understanding, and true love regardless of what other people said or thought. Life and everyday circumstances got in the way, but their love stood the test of time. The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro did an amazing job. You could feel the smooth transitions, the angst of the characters through their voices. They kept me engaged and I couldn’t stop listening. Great read by Lawson. And if you want to continue Tyler and Annie’s story, you can read their next book A Love Song for Always.

Epic love story…amazing narration!!!

This book was so good. I didn’t realize what an epic love story I was diving into when I started but the journey Annie and Tyler experience is wrought with twists and turns. It is an emotional roller coaster and so well written that, although the story is long, it keeps you engaged throughout. I listened to this on audio and the performance by Teddy Hamilton and Rose Diorio was so good I could feel the chemistry between the characters on another level.

Love this series!

Rivals is an angsty, forbidden, friends to lovers, opposites attract romance I devoured so quickly. Rivals is the story of Tyler and Annie, their intense, epic connection and their quest to make their dreams come true. I loved these two together and it kept me hooked to this story! I wasn’t a big fan of the first half, but the second half was very good! The narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and I can’t wait to listen to more books narrated by the both of them!

Review: This was my first book/books by Piper and I really enjoyed it. The Blurb sounded so good and I couldn't wait to dive in! I realized there was a prequel called Love Notes, so I read that first.

Annie is the daughter of a famous rockstar who dreams of being seen one day. Tyler is the boy who everyone sees and wants a piece of. These two have been friends for years, but haven't been in talked since Tyler went silent. These two had the sweetest friendship and love for each other. It was just always the wrong place, wrong time. The span over these 3 books has you falling in love, going through heartbreak and of course is full of angst. I loved Tyler and all that he would do for Annie. His love made my heart swoon. These two were definitely meant for one each other. The boy who doesn't feel he's worth it and the girl who just wants to show him how worth it he is. You could feel the intense chemistry between these two. I loved the real-life situations that tested what they meant to one another. I enjoyed the ride this trilogy took me on. The ending made me so happy. I loved Haley, as well as some of the other side characters. I listened to the audiobook by Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro. I always love Teddy and he was perfect as Tyler. Rose is newer for me, but she was great. These two did an excellent job bringing Tyler and Annie to life! I want to read A Love Song for Always, which I hear is a perfect ending to Annie and Tyler's love story. I just found out Annie's Dad, Jax Jamieson, also has a book as well called Good Girl. Now I'm intrigued again!

New Adult Romance - Box Set (Books 1-3)

Rivals by Piper Lawson is a new adult romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro.

This box set includes A Love Song for Liars, A Love Song for Rebels, and a Love Song for Dreamers, an extended epilogue short story.

This was the first series of Piper's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first book and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship between Annie and Tyler. It's messy and a bit of a rollercoaster. But I couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout each book. It really brought the story to life.

Teddy and Rose did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like new adult romances, friends to lovers romances, second chance romances or rockstar romances.

So amazing

This was a super fast audio read for me. I've read some of Piper Lawsons books before so I knew this one was going to be great!

Rivals is a love story full of all the emotions told in three parts and three different times during the characters lives. I really enjoyed the split type of timeline.

I loved watching Annie and Tyler come back together when they got separated because it wasn't yet their time. I am all for the second chance trope. Annie and Tyler always find their way back to one another and they just feel like home. Both of them grow and become more and more lovable page by page.

Piper knows how to craft the perfect story and gives you just enough to make you starving for more. I highly recommend you all grab this one 😍

A sweet & spicy coming of age

A coming of age story starting with high school angst of Tyler and Annie to working adults. It evolves to a beautiful story of tension, a push and pull of the person you love most. So much you set them free because you think you hold them back. I love how the story develops and truly see how their love grows between them and the people in their lives. Who they are as people, as a couple, and creatives will be tested at every opportunity.

This was my first Piper Lawson series and I can’t wait to go back into the world of Jax and Hailey! Rivals is a box set of the A Love Song for Liars, A Love Song for Rebels, and a Love Song for Dreamers. There is an extended epilogue wrap up of their story in A Love Song for Always and a prequel novella called Love Notes.

Love Tyler & Annie!

I absolutely adored both Tyler and Annie in this story. Annie’s father is a famous rock star and he lets Tyler move into the pool house to finish school and be his mentor. Tyler’s dream is music and Annie’s is too, just a bit different paths.

The story starts after Tyler has been living in their pool house for awhile and the tension between Tyler & Annie is just perfection.

The timeline is over quite a few years and plenty of ups and downs. When they’re together, it’s obvious they’re meant for each other. My only complaint is the length of it all. It could have been shorter.
