Publisher's summary

One loser, one talking cockroach, and one karate-chopping bombshell stand between YOU and a menacing army of...fat, adorable hamsters? Wait. Back up.

Lloyd Wallace has been through a lot these past few months. He's stopped the zombie apocalypse, fought off demonic possession by the deadly sin of sloth, and helped the grim reaper get his job back. All he wants is to retreat to his oasis—Okay, so it's not an oasis. It's his childhood bedroom, in his parents' house, but still—to rest and recharge. Easy, right?

Nope. First, he finds a mysterious hamster with a terrible attitude and sharp teeth in his closet. Then his manager—a salty, foul-mouthed hard-partying cockroach—moves in with him. When his employee manual takes over his beanbag and his disgraced guardian angel hides from the Lord's wrath in the closet, it's clear Lloyd's room is no longer a peaceful sanctuary. It's become a crash pad for wayward supernatural creatures.

Things outside the house are even worse. 24/7 Demon Mart is infested with hamsters. Hungry vampires are attacking people on the street, unraveling the uneasy truce between the werewolves and vampires. If they can't convince their fanged and furry neighbors to kiss and make up, the 24/7 Demon Mart crew will be caught in the middle of a war.

Can Lloyd and the Demon Mart crew maintain the delicate balance that holds the magical community together? Or will the entire neighborhood—and Lloyd's life—fall apart? And where the hell are all these hamsters coming from?

Find out in Revenge of the Furballs: 24/7 Demon Mart 5.

Revenge of the Furballs is a vampires vs. werewolves horror comedy with a side of hamsters—lots and lots of hamsters. It is the fifth book in the 24/7 Demon Mart series.

Good bublegum book

This is a good book to listen to when you need to get other things done. It has a light plot and easy-to-remember characters. It is written so that if you miss a sentence or paragraph, you will stay with the flow of the story.

Words from the Weremule

First, I love the series. Second I really love the narrator. No matter your listening style or how discerning you may be, "the voices were too similar" " the pacing was blah blah" anything you may say about this narrator, you can NOT deny the absolute Nuclear power plant amounts of energy he puts into his work. I've listened to hundreds of narrators from the sloppy, to the monotonous, to the downright lazy calling it in types, even the great narrators whom I love (Pinchot, Marsters, Reading) can't compare to the almost physical workout this guy must do behind the mic. The story: Not too heavy as always, with lots of turns and humor, I somehow skipped book four and have to backtrack. I was a little annoyed at Lloyd this time around, as well as a few other minor issues. MINOR SPOILERS. the thing with Bubba? Lloyd was already a member being punished in cardio hell, so this confused me. Lloyd seems to have gone backward in his development. In previous books he has had some "hero" moments, revelations about his life, coming to terms with his fear, acts of bravery/self-sacrifice, etc. He has gone into full-on teenage girl mode a lot in this one. In and of itself the terror-filled explosions are so Lloyd and I don't mind them on their own. But five books into it, he should be (and as I said HAS been) a bit more used to his now weird life and have a bit more backbone by now. To me, he seems to be MORE scared of things in this book than the earlier ones. Jennifer? I thought (maybe I need to go back and reread) that Lloyd already had to come clean to some extent to Mom, I know she has been exposed a few times now like at the pool party. and the whole thinking they are "larpies" thing? makes her seem dumb. She may be HOT, She may have raised a giant man-baby-in-denial, But she has not come across as stupid. She's super mom everywhere else, (I wish I had a magic shopping list growing up), and if nothing else we need to admit that Mom's are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. especially when it comes to their own messed-up offspring. I keep waiting on the other shoe to drop one book where mom has known all along sort of thing. All this aside, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

Another great shift at the Demon Mart

These books always have a way of making me smile. I absolutely love this series and how well the characters, new and old, come to life. This is just another fun trip into Lloyd’s chaotic world. I can’t wait for the next one.
