America's elite have been using cash value life insurance to stockpile wealth for centuries. Used correctly, it is better described as a personal bank on steroids, and a financial bunker for tough times. To be clear, this audiobook is not about the typical garbage peddled by most insurance agents. Rather, an alternative to the risky investment strategies taught by Wall Street. It details a highly efficient form of cash value life insurance designed to supercharge your savings and stockpile wealth.

Today people worry that they're going to run out of money in their older age. That won't happen if you use a few tricks for squeezing higher payments from your assets - from your Social Security account (find the hidden values there), pension (monthly income or lump sum?), home equity (sell and invest the proceeds or take a reverse mortgage?), savings (should you buy a lifetime annuity?), and retirement accounts (how to invest and - critically - how much to withdraw from your savings each year).

Recent statistics suggest that nearly two-thirds of Americans regret not planning properly for retirement. We tend to underestimate the key factors of retirement planning: our total lifespan; the probable length of our retirement; and, perhaps most significant, how much money we’ll need to fund those years in retirement. In fact, retirement planning can feel so overwhelming that many of us put off thinking about it at all until it’s too late to make the necessary changes.

Good Listen
Not bad. A bit too much information if you ask me but thats not necessarily a terrible thing. The author definitely went above and beyond with content and information.

Worth a shot
Nothing to lose here only knowledge to gain. I recommend this book because it has more information than any other retirement book I’ve seen. I had to start taking notes which almost defeated the whole purpose of the audiobook.

Mental health goes with it to
Emphasis on staying socially engaged and maintaining a strong social support network in retirement resonated with me. It highlights the importance of building meaningful connections.

Start planning early
The key point that resonated with me was that you should start planning for your retirement as soon as you can. It was great to see the advantages of early planning laid out in black and white, including being open to more investment options and building a better risk tolerance in the long term. The audiobook contained great practical information on a topic many of us prefer to avoid considering in our 20s and 30s.

The Best
This book addresses all of this in a very simple way and, honestly, it's given me hope again I will retire some day. I knew a lot of the principles in the book, but I didn't have the guts to believe in them until I read the book.
