Resilient for sure!
I love the all of the raw emotion. Brooke really put herself out there explaining how she felt and how she handled every situation, how she made her decisions. What I love the most is her constant reminder to speak positively to ourselves.

Doubling down as a fan!
Was a sideline fan of Brooke for a while and was aware of her injury. This was such a great story and interesting look into her life. I really enjoyed it! Her narration was a bit awkward at times, but I assume she is not an experienced voice actor! I would still choose her narration over anyone else because it feels more personal when the author does it.

Inspiration gets taken to the next level!
Inspiring. Gut wrenching. Phenomenal. I, with many others, watched in disbelief as Brooke Wells’ elbow dislocated during the 2021 Games. I’ve always wanted to “see behind the curtain” of how these elite athletes keep themselves together in the face of adversity, and Brooke’s book puts her humanity, vulnerability, and fortitude on full display. She is transparent and real and allows the reader to relive the most gut wrenching year and the most epic comeback with her. I lost count of the times I had chills or shed tears throughout the book. It’s inspiring, jaw dropping, and full of humility and gratitude. I can’t wait to listen to it again, especially on the days where I’m down in the dirt and facing two choices: to roll over and die or dig in and grow. Thanks, Brooke!

Amazing book
It’s one thing to know the story, it’s another to here it in first person. Brooke’s story is truly incredible, inspiring and captivating, a must read/listen and she reads it herself.
