When the GOAT has something to say, you listen!

Love it! Loved his perspective on all things training. The only thing that would’ve made it better is if HE was narrating it.

As a crossfit athlete, I really enjoyed listening this book.

Now I understand why May Fraser is the champion and the meaning of HWPO. I really learned about the tips and advices. Recommended. But also, this is very technical in crossfit terms, for a no crossfit person could be difficult to understand.

Good for what it is

I read a bunch of reviews of this book bashing it because it doesn't seem to reveal any of Mat's secrets to being the greatest male CrossFit athlete. If you bought this expecting the keys to the castle or the golden ticket, you probably were disappointed.

I bought this book to learn a bit about Mat Fraser, his mindset as a successful elite CrossFit athlete, and some of the ways he prepares himself (and now his athletes) to compete.

I walked away from the book with two keys that will work for me: recovery isn't "let it all hang out" time...it should be specific and calculated too. And, willingness to enter the pain cave is a measure of your commitment to the sport.

All in all, I liked the book.

Great Book!

I like this book a lot. Good insight into his performance. Great tips and loved the pdfs that it came with, also tried the hwpo program and I love it.

Exactly what you should expect

Matt does a great job of explaining his process in his normal Fraser way. It was a great quick listen. I'd recommend it to anyone.

my new favorite book

If you know anything about the sport of CrossFit you are definitely going to want this book! I completed it in my first day and I know I'm going to go back and re-listen to it. the information and perspective on training is exactly what you would expect from the 5× fittest champion.

Great story, weird shift to instructional content

The storyline is great, love hearing how Mat became the fittest! The shift to instructional content seemed super weird. I tend to listen to audiobooks when I am working. or out on runs and it was odd to listen to instructions on how to get your first pull up. I felt like it was filler content. either way the book was great, but just wish it had more content!
