Great story

I love this series. I’ve been reading most of it and listening to the ones I have on audio. When I got to this book, I was really excited because Nash’s story premise is so interesting. It’s got some serious undertones to it too. However, the narration just didn’t work out for me. Anton’s voice for Nash was great. The other characters though? Not so much. Jaxon sounded older than he should have been. And Jahiah with a lisp? It just didn’t sound right to my ears. I switched back and forth between audio and ebooks every chapter. This would have been a great one on audio but somehow, the narration just didn’t work out well for me.

Couldn't Finish Due To Horrible Narration. 😔

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Liam kingsley and have listened to many many of his books. Even though I do believe this was going to be a good story, I could not get through chapter 3. No disrespect to Anton Rush, but the narration was horrible. The character sounded like they were very elderly, frail, sounded exactly alike,(absolutely no disrespect to our elders). I can understand the mothers voice being seasoned but all the other characters from the pervious books and new characters in this story soundings the same. slow and vapid. I've purchased and have listened to the other books available so far in this series and have really enjoyed them, and keep them in my library for my future relistening. I do believe that this would have been a good continuation but I will not know because due to the narration I'm returning it.😒

Love the series

I love fallowing the Timberwood cove series. Seeing how the characters develop throughout the story excites me. However I had a hard time listening two Anton rush narrate this book. He made the characters sound like elderly people especially Jaxson. At times Jahiah and his son had the same voice/tone. When the narrator got to the steamy part of the book it was just wrong, it was like listening to an elderly man trying to play two parts (no offense to the elderly, be your beautiful self wrinkles and all). I love this series but I wish they had a different narrator. It will be hard for me to listen to the book again.

Narrator is awful

Narrator makes characters in their 20-30's sound elderly. Like having grandpa read you a naughty story. Although story is very good.

The Narrator Is Awful!!

The storyline was good and consistent with others in the series, however, the narrator was terrible!!! He made every character other than Nash or Jadiah sound like "creepy old people, who were heavy smokers???" That included a 14 year old teen, the pack Alpha, etc. I won't buy any more audible where this guy is the narrator. Just buy the kindle version on this one. I hope he didn't narrate remaining books in this series. I read or listen to multiple books a week. This performance was the worst. Sorry to be critical but being honest.

Narrator v. Author

I have listen to the audiobooks up to this point on the Timberwood Cove series; and to be honest the story in this book was quite good, but the narrator was horrible. He changed the age of a lot of previous characters and gave characters unnecessary, vocal tendencies. It was extremely disappointing to go from the previous book to this one finding that I can’t even stand the narrator’s voice. Great story though.

Dissapointed

I couldn't finish this book. all the recent characters are sounding old and feeble. It runs the other books that I love.

This narrator is awful!

I tried, but I just couldn’t stand this narrator. All the side characters sound like they’re in their 80s instead of their 30s or like they’re slow and plodding rather then vibrant. There are also audio issues in which you can hear static during the chapter changes. I was so disappointed in the quality of this audiobook.
