Publisher's summary

This generation is struggling - mostly alone. Fear and pain are everywhere. And yet most of us, especially men, forget or forgot what’s available and intended to help us survive and even thrive in these evil days: authentic Christian community. In Rescue, Justin Camp reminds guys that God put his Spirit into their hearts so they would come out of isolation to support and sacrifice for one another. This third book in the life-changing WiRE series explores:

  • Why the myth persists that “real” men don’t need each other
  • How vulnerability is the only path to becoming hearty, rugged, good men
  • Practical wisdom for starting worthwhile spiritual communities

Scattered, men are assailable. United with brothers and God, though, they’re protected - ready for anything this world might threaten.

A needed resource for today

This is a needed resource for men today. Being in community is such a wonderful thing and what we are made for. So many men live in isolation and are dying inside. God created us for community and he works flourishing into our lives through community. We were not made to live alone. This book is a great resource for men looking for community and or just curious about it. Get out there and find your rescue team, it’s worth it.

Very good and needed bug in todays world

I love the author’s vulnerability in this book. As a man in todays world of rush rush don’t stop it is refreshing to hear a voice saying slow down and have some self care and meet with other men and grow.

it's b*******t

good morning share the more they don't want to believe you and then they tell you that their whole department is closing down for a while and they can't help you because whatever so sharing is very very dangerous everyone says if you need help just reach out that's not true I've been reaching out for over two decades and that doesn't include the five suicide attempts to previous 10 years before that there are no real men anymore in the church I don't know where they went
