Life can go on! exciting
Repairing the Conestoga: The Colony Ship Conestoga, Book 3
By John Thornton
Narrated by Lauren Holladay
Book three in series, this book is a fun sci/fi continuing the adventures of Jerome and Cammary. The trials and pitfalls of learning to work together to survive are engaging. In addition to the struggles of surviving there are the self-repairing ship with a mind of its own and set on repairing itself adds to their challenges. Fun listen I look forward to reading the next in the series.
Lauren Holladay adds a great interpretation to the story. She is expressive and really adds to the enjoyment and life of the characters and story.

Can the Conestoga ever be restored?
Cammarry and Jerome are aboard a section of the damaged colony ship Conestoga, attempting to make repairs. All the while, their section orbits a planet they know little about. Being just two desperate explorers from Dome 17, Cammarry and Jerome are lost without their connection to an AI named Sandie. And then their ally, a native of the Conestoga, goes missing. Also, secret forces are working to keep the explorers from discovering hidden truths. It doesn't take long before their goal of repairing the ship becomes secondary to their mere survival.
This installment in the Colony Ship Conestoga series was fairly good overall. At times, however, I feel as if the main characters are written to be less logical or intelligent than you'd expect from space-adventuring, near-total-global-collapse survivors. Narration by Lauren Holladay is good, as well.

Five Stars!
This is a really fun Sci-Fi adventure! Part of a multi-book series, Jerome and Cammary go looking for their friend Khin. The story line is really good, although I would listen to the rest of the series to get to know the characters better. The narration is really great and I'm looking forward to the next book... this is a cliff hanger!

Good next installment
I listened to Book 1 of the Conestoga saga, but, not Book 2. This is Book 3. I was still able to understand what was going on but I definitely need to listen to the second book to get one event clarified.
This book was much like the first. These books are not deep, they are entertainment and a complete segment of the overall story. This, of course, ends with the lead up to the next segment/ book.
We follow Cammarry, Jerome, and Khin to the planet to look for the bio domes. A whole new adventure awaits there, with pleasant moments, and moments of stress and a fight for survival.
There is not any explicit sex or violence or swearing.
The narrator did well voicing the characters, but, she too fell into moments of narrating the backstory or voicing the conversations when she sounded robotic, like when voicing the AI units.

The Adventurers are back!
Jerome and Cammary are back in book 3, which has been my favorite one so far in the series. The pacing and narration are really good and Jerome and Cammary are starting to develop a relationship that goes deeper than friendship. Sandie the A.I. is also developing nicely and it seems like she will be a central figure in the coming books. Lauren Holladay does a great job as the narrator. She's got a lovely voice and makes the characters distinctive.

Good sci-fi
The saga continues, and book 3 is of the same high standard. It is a good tale and our heroes continue to develop both in depth and strength.
Lots of action and tension.
Lauren Holladay is the third narrator in the series - and she has a wonderful voice, and it really suits the characters and story. This is the best narration of the series.

A solid book three.
A well written and narrated continuation of Cammarry and Jerome's quest to find out more about their new home. Exploring more of the colony ship Conestoga and dealing with all the problems past events and the ships disrepair throws up. Before you listen to this book I would recommend listing to the first two to get the most out of this book.
The characters are well written and the dialogue and interactions between the main characters are interesting and believable.
The narration is of good quality, is easy to listen to and enhances the tension of the story. Each character sounds unique and their emotions as well as the stress of the situations just increases how engaging the story is. I did not encounter any errors in the recording.
I very much enjoyed this book and I believe it is better than the first two in this series. I am looking forward to finding out what happens in the next book.

Like a rat down it's tunnel
The third in the Conestoga Colony Ship series by John Thornton finds Cammary and Jerome still struggling to find an acceptable life in their new home. They, accompanied by the irrepressible Kin, decide to revisit the planet Zahlia around which their ship is circling, this time heading for a different habitat, Beta. A communications link seems to indicate that this, like Alpha, is inhabited. And it is - but is very different from the lush environment they had visited before and what the finally discover shocks them immensely.
Another ingenious and enjoyable adventure of two of the survivors from Earth's Dome 17, this one increasingly sinister. Narrator Lauren Holladay does a reasonable job with the reading, though there are some odd pronunciations. She reads clearly and with good intonation and her character voicings, if not very distinct, are there. She does not attempt to immigrate Kin's laugh, thank goodness, no sing the song, instead simply reciting it.
A good, simple, but enjoyable follow on science fiction story in the Conestoga series set within the wider Colony Ship world.

Great read!
Any additional comments?
This book has more action adventure and ends on a cliffhanger. There is more violence with some slow moments and suspense. The series gets more interesting as it progress from one book to another.
I felt sorry for Jerome in this book. He tried so hard when it came to Cammarry and yet nothing seemed to work. But what I love about him is that he never gives up.
There is no profanity or sexual content.
I am really looking forward to book four.
I thought the narrator did a great job in voicing the characters.
