Publisher's summary

A woman with a knack for cheating death tries to avoid the mistakes of her past lives in the first book of a gripping dark fantasy series.

Death has a funny way of finding Lynette Heversham. After three villainous lifetimes—marked by pain, betrayal, and increasingly violent demises—Lynette still has no idea why she's been cursed with being reborn again and again. When she awakens as her younger self for the fourth time, she quickly realizes this life is her last chance to get it right.

With the guidance of the gods, Lynette sets out to leave her wicked ways behind and forge a new path. Escaping her doomed engagement and the machinations of her adoptive noble family will be no easy task. As she courts scandal and shocks everyone by joining the empress's army, she's thrust into a world rife with demonic beasts and dangerous enemies.

The key to Lynette's survival will be unlocking the long-ignored power in her core. For she'll need her newfound skills, all the knowledge gained from her past lives, and the gods' favor in order to change her fate . . .

Combining magic, romance, action, and spectacular world-building, Renewal is the first installment of a unique dark fantasy series that's perfect for fans of otome and role-playing games.

The first volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 450,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Meh okay good filler book

A woman of supposed life experience of previous life’s doesn’t really help build character she’s still weak and acts like it very much demonstrates damsels in distress through the whole book and very slow pace not much ability growth! Not a strong female lead

Intrigue lit RPG with a hint of action.

The story has well developed characters with their own complex motivations. I can't wait for book 2.

Definitely an otome game manhwa story

Good story. Follows the same manhwa tropes, but is detailed enough and seems to be more than one dimensional. The main character and her family are a bit too oblivious though, but I think that’s more a thing for drama than bad writing. The only real critique is that I feel things are expanded upon or repeated over and over a bit too much. (Mostly via inner dialogue)

I’m excited for the next installment of the series and really enjoyed it. I feel like the next book is where it’ll get going and the MC will start to shine.

Good start.

I actually enjoyed this book. I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning. The story ended when things were really getting interesting. The narration was key for me. I felt everything the various characters felt and that elevated the whole storyline. I was hoping book two was ready to go because I am invested .
