Publisher's Summary

Best-selling romance writer Hayden Lane has just lost the "perfect" man, but what real man could compete with the dark intriguing character she writes about? But when a psychic tells her that Hayden has had a past life, she yearns to know more, and despite the psychic's warnings, Hayden cannot let this go.

In an effort to learn about her past, Hayden is hypnotized, but instead of merely remembering, she awakens in Edwardian England and immediately faints. But when she wakes up again, she will embark on an adventure beyond her wildest dreams -- and will have the chance at a love so rapturous that it defies the boundaries of time.

Suffused with Jude Deveraux's trademark warmth, humor, and tender sensuality, Remembrance is an unforgettable tale of a remarkable woman and the one man who was her destiny.

MY BAD - this is abridged!

Any additional comments?

This is my fault - I didn't realize when purchasing that it was the abridged version.

This is one of my favorite Jude Deveraux novels, and the abridged version just does not do it justice.

Preformed very well

I prefer the full story to the abridged version. Love the story, though.

Abridged

I had not realized this was an abridged version, and as such it was okay. Unfortunately for me, this is one of my favorite books and the abridging took out a lot of (to me) important details. Was okay, but not truly the story I love so much.

fairy tale

Would you try another book from Jude Deveraux and/or J. Smith-Cameron?

I loved this book when I was younger. The abridged version just takes out to much of the story. It's a great story and I would love to see a movie made of the book, but we need an unabridged version of the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Remembrance?

When Callie and Talis were the center of the story. That part is my favorite. The characters seem so real and one can almost hate John Hadly and Alita.

What about J. Smith-Cameron’s performance did you like?

She does a great performance. She changes her voice well to fit the mood and scene.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

disappointed

Abridged should be more prominent near title of book. This is one of my favorite titles and i was sorely disappointed to discover essential senses missing.

Abridged!

I didn't read the reviews before purchasing because I already knew and LOVED the book. Had I done so I would have realized it's an abridged version. Still a great story, and although super short, it retains the essence of the story. Audible abridged version skips pedantic beginning of original book, which worked for me, but Including more of the second and especially the third part of original story would have made it more enjoyable. Worth it if using credits, not so much if you have to buy it. Also, the only audio version of Remembrance IS this one.

Disappointed

They took out the soul of the story and left it only with its shell. It’s disappointing it’s my favorite novel and they took out the heart of it. So many chapters skipped that those who have not read it won’t be able to understand their true characters.

BEWARE this is an Abridged version..

One of my very favorite novels I read yearly. If this was the FULL novel...I would've given 5 stars across the board.
I was so excited to see this title in the AUDIBLE Library, I got the book, immediately downloaded it and started to listen. ( I didn't really look to see if it was abridged )
The narrator is easy to listen to, enjoyed listening to her performance...but the novel was almost half gone... SO DISAPPOINTED! I'm returning the book...AUDIBLE PLEASE GET THE UNABRIDGED VERSION FOR THOSE OF US THAT ABSOLUTELY ADORE AND LOVE THIS NOVEL. This "Shortened" version is a travesty.
Why cut the novel to pieces?? If we're listening not actually reading the novel...why skip through??
