First time I could not finish
In all the years of reading Jude Deveraux books this was first one that I could not finish, felt like it just never got started

Good story- but whiny heroine
The narration is pleasing, and the story is entertaining. Since there’s no great mystery to solve, all of the drama is manufactured.. and unfortunately this is mostly at the expense of the female Main Character. My personal pet peeve is the female character written who says she wants everyone to leave her alone and is then mad when people do just that! “ Oh, but didn’t they know I didn’t mean it?” Is the familiar refrain. Ugh I hate that.
But other than that it was a nice little piece of humorous fluff with a cute HEA.
