Cas and Matty's Royal Love Story

The book in the 'Rosavian Royals' universe that tells the story of second heir Cassander can be found in 'Reign or Shine'. Cas, as he prefers to be called, is weary of his royal duties and decides to go incognito in Alpina, the capital city of Rosavia. He meets Matty, an American escorting his niece to a prestigious archery program at a posh boarding school near Alpina. They meet-cute and quickly fall for one another.

Author HJ Welch gives the reader a low-angst Cinder(f)ella story. Cas and Matty are adorable as they navigate what they both think of as a vacation fling, but start to realize their feelings for each other go deeper than that. Can they get past Cas' initial deception and Matty's hesitation to grab their HEA?

Narration by Kieran Flitton is very good. He brings out the emotional impact of Welch's story.

Recommended. It's a well-written, fluffy, smile-inducing romance.

much better than the first book

The narration is great. This book was a lot better than the first, not at all overly repetitive. It's a sweet love story, with low angst.

Really enjoyed this version of Reign or Shine by HJ Welch! I think that they "shine" (get it?) in audio format and Keiran Flitton does a bang up job narrating this series! This is one of my favorites of the series and it is a great listen!

Sweet and amazing listen!

I absolutely love Cas and Matty's story! This is such a sweet story that I fell in love with reading it. So listening to Kieran Flitton narration of this story made me love it even more. This was such a beautiful listen that I couldn't stop listening. Kieran brings the story to life and these characters. I just love this world that has been created in this multi author world.

I loved this book where Prince Cassander, second in line to the Throne and the ever responsible one, falls for a commoner, an American tourist, nonetheless. The story of how they become closer and closer and then their hopes for a future together, is a sweet and enchanting journey!
