A spy prince needs: a man who sees through his disguise.
Prince Benedict is not what he seems. His image as a lazy playboy is carefully constructed to hide the truth. Trained since childhood to become Rosavia's top spy, he spends his life in disguise - and danger - to protect his country. Nobody sees the loneliness in his heart.
Felix Wright is a genius with four degrees, no real-world experience, and a top-secret job...and he's never even been kissed. A lifetime of being alienated for his most valuable assets has left him reluctant to trust the charming prince who thrusts him into fieldwork for the very first time.
When the Crown Jewels are stolen two weeks before the royal ball, it's their job to save the country's reputation. Benedict helps Felix believe in himself, while Felix slowly coaxes the real prince out of hiding. But can they find the jewels and rescue the most priceless treasures of all: Each other?
Welcome to the tiny European country of Rosavia, where roses ramble over alpine slopes and princes fall for the men of their dreams. Every Rosavia Royals book happens simultaneously, so books can be read on their own, or in any order...but keep an eye out for familiar faces around the palace!

When he is teamed up with Felix, his secret mission gets all the more exciting.
This is an entertaining story, with a bit of espionage, a bond style prince, his assistant with a photographic memory and a passion between them that cannot be denied.
The narration was just okay for me. I felt at times like the story was just being read instead of being given the life it needed.
An enjoyable listen overall.

in this novel from the 'Rosavia Royalty' universe, Prince Benedict, raised from childhood to serve in his country's intelligence service meets Felix, a researcher also working with the government. They are assigned to a covert mission together, and fall in love.
Max Rowan has written a slow-burn, dislike-to-love, opposites-attract romance with a wonderful side of espionage, mystery and suspense. Both Benedict and Felix begin the story not really feeling like there is a place they belong. Once they spend time together on their mission, they start to believe that their places in life are with each other. A trust starts to grow between them, tested a few times, and end up with their HEA.
The main characters are relatable and likable. They both show character growth throughout the book. They are smart and capable, being able to handle the pressures on their way to love. I consider the story to be sweet even with the spy-themed co-plot.
Kieran Flitton's narration is wonderful. He expresses the emotions of the characters beutifully.
Recommended.

MMy Thoughts Confession and Review:
Confession first: It took me getting past the prologue and first chapter before I found my groove with Rowan's writing style. Once that happened, however, it was a great Action RoMMance.
While I’ve only listened to three of the five books in the series so far, "In His Court," was different from the others in that it dealt with spies, some intriguing suspense, and cloak and dagger themes. There were a couple of twists I didn't see coming and I was always high fiving the air (because I can't EVER seem to get my cat to humor me) over those.
My favorite however was the low angst, high octane, "I wanna throat punch you, and kiss you madly... I may need therapy," themes. This was a fun enemies to lovers (my fave trope these days) romance. These guys didn't FALL in love, they grew in love, over time. Learning from each other, all the faults first, getting the worst out of the way, and being tested time and again helped lay a strong foundation for what was important to them as individuals and a couple... If they didn't kill each other first. 🤣
For a book that had me worried I may have found a prince of Rosavia who wasn't very Charming, Ben proved he wasn't such a DIC-tator after all. No, Felix had another, more appropriate, name for Specialist-Six that rhymed with "pass go." In the end, it's amazing the words we can say with love and affection, that we would never allow another to mutter to the one(s) we love. **giggle... All in the name of love.

A lazy, hedonistic prince who turned out to be a master spy falling in love with a bookish nerd, who wouldn’t love this kind of duo? It was funny, exciting, romantic and really sweet.
Benedict turned out to be so much more than I expected, a fully-developed and complex character and very realistic. And Felix is really adorkable. Two of them working hard and finding the Crown Jewels back, the journey was really exciting and the narrator Kieran Flitton whom I have never listened before turned out to be a delight. Although I haven’t read previous books in the series, I had no problem keeping up with the pace of this story. I’m excited to go back and listen the previous books in the series.

I am leaving an honest and unbiased review.
I loved the narrator of this story,Kieran Flitton.
Kieran Flitton, made both of the lead characters,Prince Benedict and geeky genius,Felix Wright, feel like real people, through his performance.
This audiobook, was a little slow at first, but pretty quickly the story really picked up.
I really enjoyed listening to the love hate relationship between,Prince Benedict and Felix.
At first,Prince Benedict is somewhat unlikeable, but he quickly grew on me.
As for, geeky genius,Felix,he was adorable and I really liked him too.
I had a wonderful time listening to the spy and secret agent exploits of these two characters.
At times this audiobook, reminded me of some of the really great spy shows, that I really love watching.
In closing,I highly recommend this light hearted story,to anyone who loves, spy or secret agent type shows, with a gay twist in this case and of course a prince thrown in for good measure too.
I look forward to listening to other books in this series.
I was given a free copy and leaving honest review.

In the fourth book in the Rosavia Royals Series, Prince Benedict is not what he seems. His image plays him off as a playboy with no worries at all, but in reality, he has been training since he was a child to become a spy for the Rosavian secret service. His goal is to one day take over as the director of the secret service. When he meets Felix, the gorgeous genius with four degrees and a lifetime of being taken advantage of, his outlook on not getting close to people shifts.
When the crown jewels are stolen two weeks before the royal ball, Prince Benedict and Felix go on an undercover mission to search for the crown. In the process of searching for the crown, Prince Benedict does all he can to help Felix believe in himself and understand that he is not what he thinks he is. Benedict can tell he has what it takes to be a great asset to the Rosavian secret service and he wants to make sure he sees that for himself. He also wants to protect him in the process because he cares for him. As their mission evolves, so do their feelings. The sexy times were on fire and the feelings they share are magical. These two characters are funny and sweet together, even with all of the obstacles they face as they look for the crown jewels. When they get to the end of the story and you see the love they share after they have unraveled the case, the balance of their relationship is like none of the other relationships in the series.
I gave this 4.5 stars because of the character development, the suspense, and the passion of the two characters. I would definitely recommend it if even just for the narration.
