Darkness almost destroyed the galaxy a thousand years ago. He’s reborn; and Nalini just saved his life.

A captive at the mercy of the Warlord of their multi-world kingdom, Nalini has learned to hide under a mask, a lie. As far as her master sees, she’s his obedient little puppet. Then, she meets him. The male who can obliterate the entire Galaxy. Her world ends that day.

In the eyes of a young Seer, Kai discovers who he’s meant to be. His future is blood and death; but there’s a female by his side. A female he’d gladly destroy stars for. If his destiny is ruling over ruins with her, so be it.

Two souls, worlds apart, under different skies. One destiny.

Excellently Narrated!!! Very nice dramatization. Good character voice distinction. There aren't enough words to say just how much I enjoyed this!!!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Excellent Sci Fi

Great imagery, love the story line. Only one sex scene, though it was steamy. Nice mentions of familiars, though they aren't called that. I will definitely read more from this author.

Voice actors are amazing!!

Bland, boring, pointless

At no point do you actually like any of the characters in this book. The story is meandering and pointless full of convenient plot holes and checkov's guns. Ugh...

Went way past Steamy

Loved the beginning of this book. Great story line. About half way, the use of profanity began and it appeared to be thrown in just for the sake of throwing it in. Became annoying. The sex scene was very disturbing for me. It wasn't just extremely explicit, it bordered on violence and abuse. I don't know about you, but if a man suddenly decided I should have something shoved up my butt without discussion and consent, I would feel violated and overpowered by someone larger and stronger than myself. I stopped listening at this encounter, not sure how much further the author would go. Disappointed that such an entertaining story became so disturbing.

Great Audiobook!

I was provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher, and/or narrator.

I loved this book. I was addicted from the very beginning and it was hard to stop listening once I got started. Shane Wast and Ava Erikson were remarkable narrating this book. I love that it's done as a duet where Ava voices all the female characters who are talking even when it's from the males pov. I absolutely love that in audiobooks.

This was a wonderful space fantasy novel with the works. It has tons of magic, war, politics, prophecies, and love. Kai and Nalini give me all the feels. I really loved Kai because he is a very harsh person who is willing to do anything to fight for what he believes in. When he is saved by Nalini as a child, it weaves a bond they will share across galaxies. But what I also loved is that Nalini's glimpses into his future scares her and she sees him a cold blooded killer who bring darkness and destruction upon the world. When their path's cross she starts to wonder who Kai truly is. Nalini is quite wonderful as you see the harsh life she lived and what a strong mage she is and how capable she is of protecting herself. The bond of mind, body, and spirit she shares with Kai is the best thing about this book. I loved their connection, it truly amazing.

I couldn't get enough of this book. It was wildly entertaining and exactly what I'd hope for in a sci-fi novel with lots of magic. The story was done really well. I liked reading about how Kai and Nalini grew into the people they become by the end of the book. It makes it easy to connect to them and understand them. The narration was on point and very enjoyable. I definitely recommend listening to this audiobook.

My new favorite, blindly picked.

Went through the list of books and picked this one, not really looking at anything. It's a beautiful emotional roller coaster of frustration... but well worth getting back in line for. The two narrators is definitely fitting for this story.
