Just no

Melodramatic characters and situations that had me rolling my eyes combined with an author who does NOT know the regency era (SO MANY mistakes) made for ridiculous stories. Two stars instead of one because the basic premises of the stories have potential; they just weren’t executed well. But if you don’t care about the Regency Era accuracy mistakes or the melodrama and want quick, clean romance stories, you’ll probably enjoy them.

clean regency romance

3.5 stars

These two stories both have a lot of angst. That is good if you love angst stories and I know many do. It was probably too much for my tastes. These are both stories where a little communication could have cleared up problems quickly. In the first story, the hero refuses to hear the truth and in the second, the hero doesn't offer the truth. Both created a lack of communication and the angst. I probably liked the second one better since I could relate to it a little more.

I think the narrator contributed to the angst as there was much in her voice. She did a good job portraying the emotions of the characters.

Sex: inferred marital intimacy
Language: I don't remember any
Violence: no
