But when he falls in love with a beautiful and enigmatic colleague, Gillian, Jamison begins to realize that he may be doing illegal work for the company. So when she asks him to run away with her, he agrees wholeheartedly. The two set off across the country, hoping to secure some money and go into hiding. The company is soon on their tails, pursuing them with the single-minded goal of silencing them forever.

If Jamison hadn’t realized how dangerous these people really are, he now realizes they will stop at nothing to protect the company. And he has no idea that his lover, a stunning woman shrouded in mystery, is as dangerous as the people he’s running from.

Also have enjoyed the 16 deMarco books by the same author. Excellent performance as well.

Good story, good character development, well told

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book was :). It could have been much longer, but I don't feel robbed. The ending adds a ton of information to tie up many loose ends in a summary fashion. though there was still one key aspect left unanswered. Overall I recommend this book and would pick up another novel by Mike Lawson.

Story is interesting and captivating, something new or at least near-new.

Very enjoyable story.

Listened to this twice, and I really liked it. Some was a bit close to reality, but it was exciting and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Pun Bandhu was a wonderful narrator.
