The number-one New York Times best-selling series returns with Mitch Rapp racing against the clock to take down Russia's ailing leader before he invades the Baltics.

When Max Krupin - Russia's leader - discovers that his kidney cancer has spread to his brain, he's determined to hide his diagnosis. He begins by getting rid of anyone threatening to him - as well as creating chaos in the region to keep the world's attention diverted. Soon, Krupin's illness becomes serious enough that he needs a more dramatic diversion, prompting him to invade the Baltics.

Desperate to understand what's causing Krupin's uncharacteristically erratic behavior and Russia's aggressive moves in the region, America begins working with Russia's disgraced prime minister to stage a coup. Its success relies on Mitch Rapp's ability to successfully find and quietly get rid of the ailing president before Europe is drawn into a war with a man who has nothing to lose.

For fans of "black-ops thrillers, Mitch Rapp continues to be among the best of the best" (Booklist, starred review).

Guidall reads Rapp and it gives me hope for this genre. We need more. The Russian President getting sick with cancer and Rapp’s new posts of old enemies and rehabilitated friends mesh together in an excellent listen. Top of their game.

Excellent duh

Typical Flynn and Rapp. Typically good. Great Read and George Guidall is as good as it gets.

Great read

Well paced, good action, and good story. My biggest issue is the mispronunciations but nothing horrible.

Better then the last few

George Guidall is the most amazing narrator in the game. His return to the Mitch Rapp series proves replacing him is not an easy task and less successful when tried. My hope is that he is in the process of training his successor as just jumping in and taking over simply JUST WON'T WORK! Thanks for returning George!

George is back!!

Really enjoyed & relieved Kyle Mills returned to form after the disaster Order to Kill. Happy to have Scott Coleman back in action. All in all feels like a classic Rapp novel. Still a little unsure as to how Claudia’s role will advance. Was good to get Geisha Azarov’s character more fleshed out.

Classic Rapp, Mills back to normal

good overall story but the ending was abnormally weak. Guidall being back helped a lot tho! it just felt like it ended rather abruptly like it was rushed to make a deadline. the last 2 chapters specifically. it was building up so well and then went out with a whimper like it was the abridged version. hence why only 4 stars instead of the usual 5. thus far I didnt feel Kyle mills had done this to the stories...this one unfortunately let a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. so good for 98% of the story. but left me feeling like it was merely an solid B- overall. if it happens again then it will likely be my last Mitch Rapp book.

great story except the end. Guidall is baaaack!

This fit seamlessly with all other Mitch Rapp stories and incorporates recent events into the story. You won't be disappointed.

The newest story line was great

Don't listen to the negative reviews, Vince Flynn has continued the narrative of Mitch Rapp while adding his own particular talents and voice. An enjoyable addition to the saga only made better by the talents of Mr. Guidall. Well worth the time.

A legacy lives on
