honestly, I struggled to finish. In fact, I skipped to the end.

Very similar to Red Rising

This story was very similar to Red Rising. I enjoyed it, but it's been done before.

Loved this book!

Hard to tell between actual quotes and narrators thoughts. Other than that, LOVED this book. Hoping for a series or conclusion with the defeat of the bad guys!!!

Predictable Fun

Maybe because it's a YA novel, I guessed a few key plot points before they happened. However, the climactic action scenes at the end were completely engaging. I look forward to the rest of the series.

The narrator was good overall, but said some lines a little too whiny for my taste. I still think it's worth a listen.

I was on the edge of my seat, even though I knew some of the twist and turns would come the still made me screech.

Love this one but not the rest

So I do love this book but was disappointed with the rest of the series. When I first read it I was so excited to read the rest of the series but with each book I was more and more disappointed. I did like how the reader read this book though.

A couple of slow parts...

Good story, I'm looking forward to book 2- it got kinda rambling toward the end.

Don't understand the hype

I needed more of everything ,I found it sad but continued to next book hoping and it never came. I wanted more magic, more twists, and most of all, more happiness

A cross between Hunger Games and Divergent

Great story and loved the performer. It was like a cross between the Hunger Games story and the Divergent story. Looking forward to the next one. :)
