A good read

It was pretty good. Didn't like that Clyde died but I guess it had to happen so that they can move on with their lives. I have read other books by this author and listen to voices by the same ladies and they have always been good I like a mix of voices. Definitely worth the purchase.

Its OK

It was ok, it was hard to keep up with who was who. But the narrator Patricia Floyd is annoying, when she open up her mouth it sounds like she's smacking, and all that swollen she do before and during a sentence... UHG its annoying. Im not sure if I can continue listen to a book that she narrates.

An ok book.

This book was ok and kept me busy listening while I do my laundry and other things I do while listening to my books, the end was a little "meh" though.

Awesome Story, Great Performances, But

It sounded like the narrator for Raquel was either sucking on a peppermint or holding spit in her mouth it was quite annoying. Love love this story though.

Enjoyed

I really liked the story. The narrators were good except Esther. I hated that fake accent. But other than that it was great.

Enough is Enough

I love this author. Why is every book fixated on skin tone, eye color, hair texture, and race? Why is there a notion that light skin and long hair is perfection whereas dark skin and nappy hair is almost beastly? Where are we (collectively) going to get over this? I’m a brownish Portuguese woman with long dark hair but I’m so much more than my appearance...I have a kind heart ♥️ who cares about my appearance. Black is beautiful!

Love Mary Monroe

Def recommend. The “Hispanic” narration got on my nerves though.
Scary Mary was my girl in the God don’t like Ugly series.

Exciting

This book was a page turner! it's as if the author gave you a direct line in just more than what was stated. The growth of each character was worth the wait.
