Average

While I can appreciate a storyline with a well-developed character, this book could have been wrapped up in about 5 hours. Way too much time was spent on her childhood. The incessant sex with her boyfriend got old ... quickly. I felt like I was reading a teenager's diary! It eventually picked up and came to an anti-climactic end.

Disruptive sounds during story

It was irritating to hear the narrator's saliva gather and lips smack as she spoke. It was almost as if the microphone amplified the sound. I struggled to get through the story because of it.

I enjoyed this story

I like this story. At times it seemed like Lo didn't care about but herself. I always liked Floyd and there was always an amount of pity that I had for him. But Paul was just an ass for no reason. You could always tell he looked down on her. The ending left much to be desired but overall it was a good story

Great Read

With the title and Lo's story line , I expected a bit more. This does not mean the book wasn't good bc it was still a decent read. Beginning of the book begins a bit slow, picks up shortly afterwards. Perfect for listening to while in traffic to/from work. (Did I mention I have the audio book) The ending leaves you on edge and I just wish SHE STILL HAD IT COMING (hint, hint for a continuation)

Good read

I really did enjoy this book. I was happy with most of the characters. The only thing is I wish that she had ended up with one of the guys. And when I say that I mean one of her husband's.

this book kept me engaged the whole time. there was also lots of supsence. I couldn't put the book down.

Ugh

I loved the story line but the narration wasn’t good. All the swallowing and pauses got on my nerves.

Classic semi-ghetto fiction

Not a bad book. It's definately an interesting read from Ms. Patricia R. Floyd, who is always great. However, the book has a few things in it that just seem implausible, and overly dramatic, but that's usually par for the course for novels like these. Very entertaining.

I enjoyed the audible version better than the printed version.

The main character was my favorite because she was so ope and honest about her feelings.

I enjoy all of Patricia R. Floyd's books. She is one of my favorite narrators.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved by the main character feeling empathic to a man she once solely loved.
