VBI (Vermont Bureau of Investigation) head Joe Gunther and his team are called in to investigate a series of violent deaths that appear unrelated until telltale clues reveal a linkage between them and that all of the deaths are, in fact, murders. However, apart from a single drop of unexplained blood left at each crime scene, there are no obvious connections between the victims or the cases.

Twist Ending…sort of

You could see the set up coming. The voice actor just lacks an ability to really relay emotions in certain chapters that would have set the stage for an explosive conclusion. It was more bleh…..still love the series overall. Especially the surprise ending.

Sad ending 😢

I didn’t expect that ending, at least involving that person’s demise.The last line did give me hope for the next book.

Great story

The only thing that would have made me like this book better is if Tom Taylorson had been the narrator. I loved how we were introduced to each murder victim got a chance to like them and then tragedy.
