Publisher's Summary

Refuel your passion with a new installment of the Torpedo Ink series by number-one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan.

While Gedeon “Player” Lazaroff is one of Torpedo Ink motorcycle club’s roughest members, he’s also one of the calmest. Little rattles Player, except for the times his gift gets the better of him. When that happens, he has to just lie down in the dark and hope for the best. But on a night when he’s on the verge of losing it, he meets a woman who manages to soothe his fractured mind.

Zyah is a striking, ethereal beauty who seduces him with every word and move. Their night together is one of pure, exquisite bliss. But when Player gets confused and thinks their intimate encounter was nothing more than a dream, his careless dismissal leaves her humiliated and angry.

Now, Player will have to devote his every breath to convincing Zyah to give him a second chance. Because she might be the only one who can save him from himself....

fantastic

This was a great chapter in the Torpedo Ink series. It was a little different story. Loved Player and Zara and the edition of Mam Anot. Love how we got to see more of Sea Haven and the community. The only thing I found a little distracting was they didn’t get back to Delia and Brezzy. But I really enjoyed this book and know I will be reading again!

🌻A bit too much fantasy, in this one🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I so anticipate any new release, in this series, however, this book was a bit of a disappointment. 🙁
This book had elements that were too science fiction, compared to the rest of the series; it actually came across as a bit lame.

Player is the Hero, in this book, and much of the story is built around the horrible side effects of his psychic gift,(building illusions) and the attempts to repair the damage they cause. I was a bit disappointed when no true solution was found.

In addition, the enemy in this book was not on the same level, as the previous books. The on-going conflict with the “ghosts” was set aside, in this book and the set aside, unfinished business was a bit anti-climactic.

Be aware that, as with the other books, in this series, there are descriptions of horrible child abuse and rape. There are also detailed descriptions of vicious murder and this content may be too disturbing, for some listeners.

Even though a lot of this book was a disappointment, for me, the narration by Jim Frangione was as brilliant as ever and even though this book wasn’t a five ⭐️ listen, in my opinion, I’m eager for the next chapter in the “Torpedo Ink” Saga.

Fantastic series addition!

Love main leads! How they compliment each other and complete one another! CF outdid herself with the storyline how you were unable to not keep reading for more & still couldn't guess what was coming! Was a little sad with momma losing her painting completely at end, club could of had a non dangerous replica made for her. Great book, can't wait for next 😀 👏 👍 🙌

More interesting installment in series

Technically, this could be a standalone story, but it’s really best enjoyed if you’ve followed the Torpedo Ink series after the Sea Haven series which is after the Drake Sisters series;-)
Thank goodness this is not the darkest of Torpedo Ink and has an interesting creative twist. I also liked the characters of Player and Zyah.
Frangione is a great choice as narrator of the book and series.

Be reckless with me

Grab your favorite beverage. Sit in your favorite place. Listen to the clock tic and see the characters come alive. Hear the wind and feel the tears, the laughter and taste the cookies. Well worth the wait.

I Give Up

The first two books in the series were good but subsequent books have been really awful. The story was long winded and frustrating. After a build up of a malevolent threat to Player and Zyah; the book suddenly changed to no threat and a rushed ending. I am a fan of Christine Feehan and regularly purchase her books but his is the last time for this series.

Brilliant

Instalment 5 in the Torpedo Ink series called Recklaess Road is yet another erotic paranormal masterpiece by the queen of genre and I couldn’t stop listening until my earbuds ran out of charge and I had to stop. Gedeon “Player” Lazaroff is one of quietest and calmest of the Torpedo Ink group, he gets back to the club house one night in terrible shape because his abilities have gotten the best of him and he just wants to take some pain meds and sleep but, when he enters his room there is a very beautiful woman in his room belly dancing. Zyah was told she could use the room to study and practice her dancing because no one thought Player would be home for a few more days. What follows is a night of pure pleasure and bliss the likes of which neither has ever known but unfortunately for Player whose confused mind isn't functioning properly thinks it's all a dream and then thinks his club members paid for her for him and he hurts her badly. When he realises his mistake he pulls out all stops to find her, apologise and hope she will give him another chance. For Zyah the pain of the rejection is too much to bear and she wants nothing more to do with him, however circumstances have other ideas and what follows is a sometimes hilarious and I mean laugh out loud funny moments, combined with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and when you mix in the scorching hot interactions between Zyah and Player this book cannot be put down. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.
