Oh well

I realize it’s a difficult needle to thread to write this genre to this audience. We tried this book series with our daughter and while she enjoyed a number of parts of the stories, even she found the behavior, actions and dialogue of the characters unbelievable. We basically stopped listening because we didn’t want her to begin emulating any of the behaviors that the kids. Hope others find enjoyment in this.

Parents

Good enough to keep your kids entertained while riding in the car. Not entertaining enough for adults. But keeps the kids quiet.

Great for little kids

I think this book is good for kids ages 3-11. The best book is probably missing ice cream.

Great for my adventurous and inquisitive child!

I've been trying various series but none have really hooked my active child, until this one. The adventures she has after she listens are spectacular. This is what makes and keeps dedicated readers for life.

Love this

My 7 year old son loves these stories. He’s listened to all of PJ Ryan’s books about the kid detectives on repeat. What a great benefit of the audible subscription.

Perfect for little kids.

My 7 and 5 year olds really love this series! Even my 3 year old listens, while we drive, without complaint. The stories are short enough to keep the kids attention, but long enough to get us through an afternoon of running errands. The voices the narrator uses are horrible. I’d give zero stars just because it’s that bad.

My 4 year old is OBSESSED

She sits and listens quietly in the car, in her room, wherever. The stories encourage kids to use logic to solve simple mysteries that are interesting to kids. The language is dynamic enough that I feel she is learning but she can still comprehend generally what’s going on. Easy listening for parents too. Not squeaky or annoying.

Ehhh

😐ehhh, it’s a good book, but not my taste. Some people might like this, but I don’t really like it. It’s for younger kids
