Toxic masculinity and tough guy-ism are on display daily from our leaders, and we see anger, dysfunction, violence, and depression in young men who are suffocated by harmful social codes. Our young sons are told to stop throwing like a girl. They hear phrases like "man up" when they cry. They are told "boys will be boys" when they behave badly. The "Girl Power" movement has encouraged women to be whoever and do whatever they want, but that sentiment is not often extended to boys.

Good message, harsh delivery
Book is a broken up into a series of parenting tips, most of which offer helpful and insightful perspectives. There was a lot of swearing throughout the book, none of which appeared in the sample. If you don't like excessive swearing, you will likely find it hard to listen to.

Woke Garbage
Toxic Masculinity is an oxymoron, like jumbo shrimp. Toxic behavior is for the immature regardless of age. Somebody gave my wife a hard copy and she gave to me. Complete waste of time. To any Men who are given this book deposit straight into the trash can.

This is not a parenting book. It is a diatribe aimed at a direction that was hard to listen to. Very agenda-laden and not aimed at accessible tips for raising boys. Total platform pushing and political agenda-type material.
