Earth is in turmoil. The enemy is bearing down on us with every warship they have, and our only allies are in chaos. Our one hope for survival is Andy Clanton - a hack science fiction writer trying to convince some aliens that humans are worth saving. It’s an uphill battle, because to the aliens, we are the monsters. We look just like their sworn enemies, the Tevynians, who’ve sworn to wipe out both our civilizations. When everything falls apart and the fate of the galaxy is on the line, can Andy Clanton pull our fat out of the fire?

Publisher's Summary
You don't become the best of the best by staying alive. In the Animus, you get closer to perfection with each death you suffer.
Kaiden Jericho would rather skip the death part, thank you very much. He wants a little information and perhaps a little payback.
He has some information on where an AO stronghold is located. He will need to retrieve vital proof to help get the council to believe the ghost-like organization exists. But can he get the support he needs to make a run at it?
Before long, it becomes obvious this isn't a small outpost; more like a major outpost with a lot of support. Kaiden can't wing this operation. He has to start working out his relationships to acquire even a small chance of success. Sasha, Wolfson and Dr. Laurie are helping him...but he needs more.
He decides to recruit support from the gangs he knows. The good, the bad, and those he has pissed off. Will they welcome him with open arms or with smiles as they eye him through their weapon sights? Will they at least be non-hostile, or will his friends need to come and help back him up? Will the AO find out that they are under attack in time to prepare? This time, the Ark Academy elite are getting involved. This isn't a game anymore.
Join Kaiden as he learns about Nexus, the Animus, and the opportunities that one fight brought him. Never before has helping someone benefit him so much. The future is looking bright...except for the pain.

Inspector Gadget but still good
I love the book the series is pretty good Jericho continues to stay an interesting character. Even though he becomes more and more goofy and stupid for some reason. it starts to get cartoonish towards the end the secret organization continues to get more and more cartoonish there's just no struggle in this book in the beginning it was all about Jericho and his struggle to be a student and learn to work with people and grow now it's just one second of that and hours and hours of other characters you don't care about. they really need to add some struggle to it book in some type of real loss I feel like I'm in the 1980s and I just watched the cartoon Saturday morning special premiere. still worth buying but this may be my last one.

about time!
love the series, but it seems to center more and more on one event vs the earlier ones which were over the course of the year.
not thrilled over the delay for audio. I started the series there and wasn't too finish it but might need to go into the printed version if it's long waits for audio.

Good up till the point i whant to sync with
I bought said audiobook with kindle but it still did not synchronization with it and there is no option prompt to do so and for whatever reson, I am now starting to type like I was talking like head officer Wolfson in the said book for what reason so yeah I like it a lot but on a one-note, I just got done with the recent book and would like like to see if Kaiden e. I and reast of nexus would react so far if they met the rest of the dead eyes along with Jacob havoc and what that would be like especially when he meets Shasha Kaiden again along with everyone else

Only one thing holding this back
I love the book and I love the series. The only thing that holds this story back is the run time. Each installment feels like it’s getting shorter and shorter. Which sucks since every entry into the series makes me want more and more. I normally don’t buy books that are less than 9 hours. But this is so worth it. I just wish they were longer
