Thrilling End To A Trilogy

A thrilling end to an excellent trilogy with great characters and a well written storyline. This emotional tale had non-stop action and was very intense. The narration was well done and great to listen to. A very enjoyable story that I highly recommend.

A wonderful conclusion!

Someone who has lost everything is extremely dangerous, like Sampson. With nothing left to lose, why not bring down the temple and prevent those who scorned you from enjoying their "victory"--no matter the personal cost. Whatever it takes, she will find a way to do just that. Hold your friends close, and your enemies even closer. So Ilana must learn who her real friends are or lose (once again) her everything

Wow!

Non-stop, heart pounding action that just never seems to stop. After pulling off a legendary heist, Ilanna must work to save the Night Guild from the Bloody Hand and the Duke’s justice while trying to avoid death at the hands of the Bloody Hand, the Duke, and the Night Guild. Both heart warming and gut wrenching, this story will take your emotions on a ride and keep you enthralled long past when you should be doing something else.

Perfect conclusion to an epic trilogy...

Andy Peloquin has gifted his readers/listeners with another gruelingly intense and totally thrilling story in this third and final book of the Night Guild trilogy. We have watched as Ilana grew from a small, frightened child into a fierce and determined woman. We have experienced her fears, her victories, her heartbreak, and her incomparable resolve to overcome any and all obstacles. In this book, she is at her lowest point, having lost everything she valued as a consequence of an unthinkable betrayal. All she has left is an unquenchable thirst for revenge. Although I am saddened to think this is the final adventure we get to share with Ilana, I can say that it is unparalleled in emotional impact and will not soon be forgotten. I absolutely recommend this series to enthusiasts of dark fantasy.

I was provided with an audio copy of this book by the author and I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.

The end is near. Or is it.

Having little to live for Ilanna could only think of revenge. A fast paced ending to this thrilling trilogy left me wishing I had more.

A wonderful Ending (? Hoping this is NOT the end)

The third and final installment of the series, "Queen of the Night Guild" brings Alana's story to a close--or we hope, a pause before moving on. As with the other books, the world that Mr. Peloquin creates is immersive and rich, and Ms. McKernan's narration brings it fully to life. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Dark but great ending!

Queen of the Night Guild is the third and final instalment of the Queen of Thieves trilogy by Andy Peloquin.

Like its predecessors, Queen of the Night Guild is a dark, action-packed story of high stakes, betrayal, and death.

Being the third book, it's hard to summarise it without spoiling, but needless to say, Ilanna's troubles only heighten as the story goes on. I found myself wondering how she could move on despite the unfolding events, and I was thoroughly impressed by her limitless resolve.

There are unlikely allies as there are heroes, and the twists and turns keep coming. The book never lets up!

My only grumble would be the number of times I was reminded about what Ilanna has lost over the years, but that might just be me.

All in all, a great ending to an otherwise dark and heartbreaking trilogy!

What a stupendous finale!

‘Queen of the Night Guild (Queen of Thieves Book 3)’ is the stupendous finale to this grimdark fantasy trilogy. The first two books are amazing and this book no less so as we are plunged once again into the world full of pain and violence that is part of the Night Guild, only now it has turned into something so much worse as a result of the infiltration of the city and takeover of the Guild by the Bloody Hand. With the intricate storylines and vividly descriptive writing, Andy Peloquin has created a superb three-dimensional work of art that draws you into its heart so that you experience everything as if you are there. And what an edge-of-the-seat experience it is! The audiobook makes for compulsive listening. I felt rather bereft when it came to an end.

Ilanna is a force to be reckoned with. Many within the Night Guild are jealous of her success and the special interest that Master Gold takes in her. The Bloody Hand want her removed because they recognise that she poses a threat to their plan to take over the Night Guild.

lIanna loses her home to a deliberately set, fast spreading, incredibly hot chemical fire and believes her son and friend to have been consumed by it. A traitor within the Night Guild has engineered it so that she will believe that Bryden, a Journeyman from House Hawk, is responsible for this in collaboration with the Bloody Hand. This same traitor has also laid a false trail of ‘evidence’ of larceny which results in a gruesome death sentence being passed on Ilanna but, with aid from an unexpected source, she manages to escape.

From here Ilanna sets out to track down the traitor, whilst also coming up with an audacious and extremely dangerous plan to drive the Bloody Hand out of the Night Guild and the city. Catastrophe and chaos follow in spades as the plot makes its way through a mind-boggling maze of twists and turns. In amongst all this, Ilanna discovers the truth behind the creation and purpose of the Night Guild – and what a revelation that is.

An amazing listen

It's the 3rd in the series and now their is even more at stake than ever before as the threat of the Bloody Hand and problems threaten to destroy everything that made life bearable.
However it seems that this may be just the beginning of the woes as everything looks to be coming to a head with the entire Guild and even the city.
A masterful tale and engaging narration make this a must listen and worth getting the first two audios just to get to this stage.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts.
