Publisher's Summary

Muse told the world how she felt about me. Instead of feeling joy, I felt terror.

This isn't what I want. This isn't how our relationship is supposed to be.

I end things because I have no other choice. But I struggle to cope with my misery, to sleep in an empty bed without her beside me.

IT'S OFFICIAL.. I'M A PENELOPE SKY ADDICT

I was half way through another listen.. a good listen.. but I was also silently drumming mental fingers as I impatiently watched the minute hand of my watch slowly rotate towards midnight.. the happy hour when i could finally download this much anticipated book.. the next exciting instalment from the Barsetti clan. And Penelope Sky didn't disappoint - after Conway's heartless rejection and ejection of Sapphire he soon felt her loss and this gifted author didn't hesitate to put him through heartache, she made him suffer and regret his words and actions.. and she made him desperate to get his Muse back. However, his Muse was back in New York, Sapphire had picked up the pieces of her broken heart and was starting to live again.. as the star attraction for Conway's rival in lingerie.

This was probably my least favourite book in the Lingerie series.. but it was still an awesome unstoppable five star dual POV listen that had lots of passion, sex, family time, tender scenes, touching words and also tense drama and action when a past enemy comes back to claim what he thinks is his. We also get Vanessa's POV too as she's dragged front and center in all the unfolding drama.. but she soon proves that she's every bit as fierce, clever and formidable when cornered as her Mom (Pearl aka Button) was. And it sets the scene nicely for the next book which is the start of Vanessa's journey to her Mr. Right.. and to her HEA.

Worth a credit? Oh YES indeed, apart from the addictive storyline, the narration was perfect and Michael and Samantha did an excellent job in bringing the story to life, creating all the feels and were on point every step of the way. I'm four books into a twelve book series and I don't regret any I've already used.. in fact I'll rejoice when it's time to use another one.

Conway & Sapphire

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible review. Three POV (Conway, Sapphire & Vanessa). Lingerie Series Book 4 of 15. Narrated in an average American accent even though 2 Conway and Vanessa are both Italian; Michael briefly adopts an Italian accent for a courier. Inconsistent with the previous books: Carter previously gave Conway a file on Sapphire but now neither Conway nor Carter know her last name. Trigger warnings: kidnapping; human trafficking; murder by strangulation in defense of another; stabbing; gun shot wound; murder in self-defense.

The aftermath of Conway kicking Sapphire out.  Sapphire is staying with and working for Andrew. Sapphire signs a 10 year contract with Andrew, buys a condo, and does her first photo shoot for Andrew. Carter finds Sapphire, tells Conway where she is, Conway goes to NY to talk to her but refuses to tell her he loves her and returns to Italy. Sapphire meets then has dinner with Knox. Vanessa found out Conway and Sapphire broke up. Conway and Carter go to a strip club. 7 weeks after Sapphire left Conway's dad visits him. Carter shows Conway an article detailing a supposed relationship between Knox and Sapphire, he goes to NY and they make up, he finally tells her he loves her, and is willing to try a long term relationship. Conway and Sapphire go to see Andrew to break her contract. They return to Italy, Conway is once again inspired, Vanessa visits Sapphire. Conway starts paying Sapphire and asks for her last name. Conway's parents come over for dinner happy that she's returned. Sapphire's period is late. Andrew hired Lacey (Conway's main model). Sapphire offers to model in Conway's next show but he turns her down only to later give in. Sapphire has Dante get her a pregnancy test, she takes it, and finds out she's pregnant. After Conway insists that Sapphire tell him what she's worried about she gives him the pregnancy test and he calmly accepts it. Conway calls his dad for advice about the pregnancy. Conway takes the day off with Sapphire to make breakfast and spend the day together. Knuckles was waiting in Vanessa's apartment to take her, she stabs him, he slaps her, he calls Conway insisting on a swap, Conway calls his dad to tell him that Knuckles has Vanessa, Carter and Conway speed to Milan to meet their fathers and find Vanessa. Vanessa gets the gun of one of her captors, shoots him in the head, runs out of the bedroom, one of the men shoots Vanessa in the left arm, she breaks Knuckles' nose, Vanessa runs, Knuckles holds a gun to Conway's dad's head, Conway's mom attacks him from behind and uses a rope to choke him to death. Conway takes Vanessa to the hospital, has surgery, then she moves in w/Conway and Sapphire temporarily while she recovers. Conway proposes w/a solitaire diamond & smaller diamonds on a white gold band while on a picnic then they have dinner with his family. Vanessa moves back into her apartment. JP

Alargar la serie hasta resultar ridículo

A pesar del gran trabajo que hicieron los narrador, resulta ridículo tantas largas vueltas que hizo la autora para alargar esta serie hasta.

Great book but the Ending....

Loved the book terribly. Kept me on my toes and up all night. Had to call in sick for work in order to finish it without interruption. The book/plot had it all, lovable characters, tear jerker, hot steamy sex, awesome narration, scrumptious alpha males (and females) and attention seeking/keeping ..... All with the exception of the ending... SPOILER ALERT.!!!! Seriously, you pumped us up with all the preparation for her last performance on the runway, then right up until the day before.... the book ends; without mention of whether it was the success they were hoping for, just nothing; other than an introduction for Vanessa's upcoming book. Miserable Bastards! I want my sick day back (yes, I know the rest of the book was great and worth the sick day but I'm petty ).
