What the heck? The series was completed in 2018. Really...This is the fourth series I've started Audible, which you failed to offer the completed series. It does evoke trust nor confidence.

love/hate

I never write reviews but I felt compelled. this series is dragging on! just get Vanessa and Griffin together already! it's not fair to make us wait this long. and poor Griffin! after they broke up, I cried on each of his chapters because his heartache is so real. I don't know why there's chapters with Conway who already had his 4 book series or Carter whose story is yet to come and can be done in its own series! I also don't know why there are chapters and chapters of Vanessa falling for someone else! I can understand a few pages but not chapters! also disappointed the rest of the books are not on Audible and its proving very difficult to find them and finish this! ugh! I love Vanessa and Griffin's love and want to see their HEA!

HATE, HEARTBREAK, HEALING.. & A DARK HERO

I absolutely love love love Penelope Sky’s books and my library’s filled with them, but I’ll be honest here, I nearly stopped this one shortly after its first few chapters. The judgemental, hypocritical, malicious dictatorship the Barsetti men have for Griffin (aka Bones) and the way they thought they were superior to him (when in actual fact they were once just as bad), frustrated the Hell out of me (Grrrrr). Anyhoo, this book seriously made me think.. would I choose family over love? Well, Vanessa made her choice and in this book she mourns the loss of Griffin (and so she should Grrrrr), she comes to terms with her decision, starts to heal and meets Antonio (Grrrrr). Conway and Sapphire are also front and center in the storyline for a while and now the focus is on cousin Carter who has gotten himself into some serious poop and has met Fate’s pick for him. And the only person who can hold his head up high at the end of this emotional journey is, IMO, Griffin whose loyal heart may be black.. but it’s beautiful too. There’s multiple POV’s and Michael’s narration is always great.. but sorry, I’m still not warming to Ramona Master’s voice. WORTH A CREDIT? I am now saying yes with a Grrrrr because Griffin and Vanessa’s love story should’ve been done already!!.. however there’s further books in the series in-between their eventual happily ever after and, as much as I love this series, I want to get there already!!. This is a necessary intro of first meets.. it’s the first step in poop and why Carter will bring new enemies in.. and it’s the calm before the storm.

absolutely phenomenal I have no idea why that one

I don't know exactly what is going on here but I have always said that it's almost like rinsing repeat but I still enjoy the series which is not my normal vampire genre obviously but something's going on here and I'm not sure what it is however I am rooting for mr bad boy but I understand if she goes in that other direction because if you look at one or two of my other past reviews I've always said you know something like you know why isn't it changed or I put it in some kind of format where why is it always the exact same story line and I'm sure there's people that feel the same way but now it's almost like you don't want to see that in this case that be the you know choice but she's really gone so far and one direction and another that it doesn't even matter if she turns back around at this point and goes her normal way because she's done such a phenomenal job and for someone just to say that it deserves two stars I'm sorry but I totally disagree respectively and I normally in like not into this type of stuff and I'm telling you she did a phenomenal job so I'm really interested to continue the series because of these last two books I've read but mainly because she did such a phenomenal job in this last title so do not judge it by that past review judge it on your own continuing God bless I highly recommend.

Love this series!

I was so thrilled to see this series continue on Audible. I love Penelope Sky’s inter-connected universe and find myself rooting for Griffin and Vanessa as they figure out their way.
