Publisher's summary

Develop a quantum memory so powerful, you're like a human computer!

You'll learn to remember names, faces, numbers, birthdays, dates, appointments, or any sequence of numbers you want. Once you have unleashed your memory power there will be no limits to the type or quantity of information you wish to store.

In this Quantum Memory Power program I am going to explain a system that I developed which I believe has been pivotal in enabling me to win those World Memory Championships. It is so devastatingly effective that unfortunately for me, my rivals in competition are now using this system to try to beat me and one or two are getting too close for comfort.

With each powerful technique I give you, I'll give you practical applications and exercises to test and strengthen your abilities in each area. You'll be using your imagination and creative powers in ways you never imagined to gain speed, accuracy and poise in the development of your own special quantum memory powers.

In Quantum Memory Power, you'll learn:

  • How your brain operates
  • To improve your decision making powers
  • The exciting world of mnemonic symbols.
  • A powerful way to remember directions
  • To develop laser-sharp concentration
  • How to ace a tough job interview
  • Developing a mental fact file
  • An increased sense of self-confidence
  • To memorize a deck of cards and gigantic numbers

You're about to take the journey of a lifetime. I guarantee, you never realized that learning could be such fun. Develop a quantum memory! See you at the next World Memory Championship!

Excellent techniques!

It was very hard to start out. My visualization was poor. I've been practicing the techniques, and I am now recalling memories long forgotten. My visualization skills has grown greatly.
I feel confident I can memorize anything now. Definitely worth the buy.

the absolute best for memory training

I've read books and taken courses, but nothing really "clicked" when it came to memory training until I found quantum memory. I was succeeding with exercises while driving down the road! in real time! if you're interested in memory training, start here - you will not be disappointed!

GREAT Book on Improving Your Memory

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

For anyone interested in improving their memory this is a must read. O'Brien's narration is excellent.

When an author can read his own work it adds to the credibility of the work. The fact that O'Brien is an 8-Time World Champ (nobody else has won it more than 3 times) also adds to the credibility.

This is an easy an enjoyable listen and that's what makes it so effective. His techniques are excellent and also unique.

I downloaded this book on a whim and now have read dozens of books on memory and while there are other good ones out there (Harry Lorrayne, Josh Foer and Ron White are most notable) this one is still the Gold Standard.

Worked right away!

I'm practicing every where I go and the techniques are working! The new gal at the bank, the guy I just met at my car inspection.

The English accent is fun... We use flash lights not torches but that makes it fun.

Not so useful for students

I am in University and was looking for ways to improve my memory skills for exams. This book just deals with remembering cards and small things. Won't help me much in my academic studies

wow. blows my mind how effective this book is

This is an amazing book The techniques learned in this book are so unreal I went and applied them right away. I learned 300 new french words the day after I read it. I have not forgotten a single one because I applied the system of linking as taught in this book.

Simply Amazing

Where does Quantum Memory rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely in the top 5 books i've listened to. Truly amazing.

What other book might you compare Quantum Memory to, and why?

I listen to a lot of teaching books on subjects from Time Management, Stock Markets, Business Start-up, Nutritional etc... but this book has by far had the biggest impact in teaching me a new skill. In essence i'm learning how to learn!!

What does Dominic O'Brien bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I think both the audible and handbook that go with this audiobook is the optimal way to learn. Actually hearing Dominic relay the book i feel gave it an edge that simply reading it would not. Dominic himself came across very well.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Again, at the expense of repeating myself, i was amazed, astonished even, at how simple these techniques were. It will take me a bit longer to start chucking out a memorised number of 100 digits as a party trick but I definitely feel I am well on my way and will achieve this really soon.

Any additional comments?

I totally agree with Dominic's viewpoint. These techniques should be taught at a young age. Although kids minds are like little sponges already, learning these systems would definitely set them up for later life.

I am studying for a NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety at present and this book has been so far invaluable in learning all sorts of mnemonic's and acronyms.

Seriously, if it's just for fun, for assistance in studying or just trying to keep your mind young and fit then you wont regret this.

Some very good tools for accessing your memory

Would you consider the audio edition of Quantum Memory to be better than the print version?

The only problem with the Audio version is that Dominic keeps referring to the print version which I did not have. Other than that, I couldn't imagine this being as effective as it was in the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

There were some very useful tools in sharpening your memory. Even after the first few chapters, I was already able to recall things that I would have never been able to remember before.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I very much enjoyed learning how to recall the day of the week from any point in time. Already proving to be an entertaining party-trick if anything!

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was delighted to see my progress throughout.

Any additional comments?

Overall a very good book; I would highly recommend the audio! I only wish there were some way to get all you need out of his system without having to go buy the written book as well. Once we reached the areas that referred to the book, and beyond, my progress slowed right down and unfortunately I fell behind.

i am still in the 2 echapter .

i am so happy , that i cant wait rating it without even finishing the book. its definitely a YES for this audiobook. i just listened the 2 e chapter in my car while driving to my job. . i practically used it immediately in my job today. and it really works. i even could memorize 10 different names with forename and familyname with this technique. if not enough , today. i even took a collegue by surprize with throwing the memorized names during the conversation that i could see the thunderstrucked eyes.

Endless repetition

The technique described in the book is very helpful. But the book could been reduced to a third it's length. The same technique is endlessly described in detail, only broken up by yet more filler; cheezy muzac.
Never read a book where it's more obvious that the author had word count requirement.

Good book on Subject... WORKS.

I have no gripes on the book, system works.. my only suggestion is get. how to develop a brilliant memory
week by week 52 proven ways.. it by same author but much better, released a few years ago, the audiobook
is very old.. BUT the techniques all work fine..

Interesting but lacking in detail

A useful book with some interesting techniques. However, I would like to know how to learn large quantities of information, a new language, a syllabus of learning etc, which is not detailed here at all. This book really is focused around being a memory champion and being able to recall small quantities of information, names, numbers, cards, etc.

I know it's picky, but Dominic claimed he had remembered the phonetic alphabet at one point, and then felled off the first few letters. However he said the second letter was beta rather than bravo, he lost a bit of credibility there in my eyes.

Narrator ruined a good idea

The narrator failed to understand that people were using their own hooks and persistently referred to his own, this made it impossible to answer the tests. I also found him patronising, smug and arrogant. It is a shame because I like the idea.

Although some of the analogies were unknown to me, this book has allowed me to to memorize and recall more than I have ever been able to in the past. The final practice questions really show you how far you have come!

frustrating but overall hugely beneficial

I'm only two chapters in and can already see the huge benefits of this knowledge. I just wish he wouldn't tell the listener what to associate things with. It makes it a remembrance game instead of a journey of association, which is a big hurdle when the whole point is to use ones own experiences as a base. What the hell does the Pacific Ocean have to do with a pack of cards?! I really wish the author hadn't put his own ideas into the listeners mind.

My memory has definitely benefited from this book

You don't read this book for fun, although some of it is fun. I have gained a lot from practising the exercises in Quantum Memory. I will continue to go back to this book time and again, as I can tell it is helping me in more ways than just memory improvement. I only wish I had discovered it before I finished my University Degree :)
