Publisher's summary

A cat cafe. Murder. Who is the killer?

Lauren Crenshaw and her Norwegian Forest Cat Annie run their own certified cat cafe in the picturesque small town of Gold Leaf Valley, Northern California. Lauren's fun cousin Zoe helps out as well.

Lauren, Annie, and Zoe are shocked when one of their favorite customers is poisoned. Steve came into the cafe nearly every day - but who wanted him dead?

The trio find themselves suspecting their customers - even elderly Mrs. Finch, whom Lauren thinks of as a substitute grandmother, doesn't escape their scrutiny.

The new (and attractive!) police detective warns them off the case. But Annie, the Norwegian Forest Cat, seems to have a nose for sniffing out trouble.

Can Lauren, Annie, and Zoe catch the killer before the killer catches them?

Simplistic Light Listening

This little story was okay for what it was. Nothing complex here, and very easy listening. Somewhat charming, even. It did keep my attention all the way through, so I guess that says something…☺️

More than a little predictable

Let me begin by saying the book was slow to get the mystery started. The narrator was good. the ending was predictable and some of the side stories were boring. The book is best suited for a new mystery reader.

uncomplicated listen

Easy story. Somewhat predictable and simplistic. Loved the cat. Good book if you want to listen and not have to think too hard.

Book Is Too Short

I enjoyed the storyline and the narrator was great. Unfortunately, I will not buy another one in this series because they are too short. I do not spend $9.79 on any book shorter than 6 hours. I accidentally bought this book without looking at the length as I was hurrying to the car for my commute. It is a shame because I did enjoy it. Maybe Audible could bundle them.

Nice start to a new series

Jinty James did a wonderful job of writing this first in a series. The characters were well developed and interesting. I highly recommend this book to cat fans and other cozy mystery fans.

Great new Cozy series!

Narration and plot is engaging .
The addition of the cats point of view and "voice" is an enjoyably sweet addition. I look forward to book two!

Purrs and Peril

As an owner of a Norwegian Forest Cat I could not resist this book. And what a great surprise it was. Will be looking forward to another story.
