Publisher's Summary

In his last mission, Conor Maguire was called back into action by his handler, Ricardo, to go after a man who helped facilitate the terror attacks that devastated America. The intelligence garnered in that operation exposed a network of traitors within the American government - officials who had advance warning of the attacks and did nothing to alert the American people. Worse yet, they sought to take advantage of the situation, seeing it as an opportunity to further their own vision of government.

When Ricardo next pays Conor a visit, it's at the behest of a shadowy collective of patriots determined to purge the government of those who sold out the nation. It should have been a simple mission, a short trip to "punch tickets" in the way that Conor had successfully done hundreds of times around the world.

But nothing in this mission will be simple. Conor and his team find themselves thwarted or compromised at every turn. They're pushed to the edge physically and emotionally. When the dust finally settles, their world will be entirely different, the path ahead more uncertain than ever.

Amazing Continuation

There’s less humor, more serious situations in this book. It happens. I do not like where it’s heading with the handler but I’m looking forward to Connor punching him at least once without repercussions...I hope. Kept me in the edge of my seat the whole time!

Great. Not surprising.

Yet another great addition to Franklin Horton's repertoire. The Mad Mick series is probably my favorite. This edition to the series took a weird turn and it hit me a little harder than anticipated because of course, it is fiction. However, one can't neglect the attachment to characters in stories to which the have grown to love. I have some personal foreshadowing I hope happens down the road but the sly dog author has made sure to make it as vague as possible with the potential outcome of the next book. This will not let you down. This book brings a sense of realism to the series. You will enjoy of course.

Nothing is black and white.

Yes I follow this series, and the listener should start with book one the mad mick.
To not do so takes away from a unique storyline.
It definitely feels like there should be at least a book seven.

This series truly never disappoints!

I love the range of emotion that gets thrust upon me. I laugh, I cry, and I cheer these characters on! I love the hidden plugs for other book series by this author! He is one of my faves!

Franklin Horton doesn’t disappoint

If you have not read any of the mad mick series then you should right now. You could read the series by itself but you would be worth while to read at least the first two of the “Borrowed World” Book series first and book one of “The girl from locker nine” series.
As usual Kevin Pierce does an outstanding job of narrating the story and gives life the characters.

Truly Great Series!

Connor's character is one of my Favorites!! Hope Mr. Horton continues with the Mad Mick Series!!

I also really enjoy the intertwined story lines of the Borrowed World and Locker Nine, maybe all the great Characters will find themselves together one day...

This series keeps getting better

I really didn’t think this series was going to last this long, but it keeps getting better with every installment. Kevin Pierce is his usual stellar self, but the story is really entertaining. Yeah, if you like this genre, get this.
