Publisher's Summary

I will always love you, both in this life and the next. I vow to love you, honor you, and stay by your side through haunted houses, dead relatives, and random appearances of red croquet balls.

Milo is a mild-mannered omega who just wants to save his Sweet Ballz, the candy shop he owns on Main St. in Hollydale. Someday maybe he will find an alpha as awesome as the book boyfriends he reads about in the popular books by his favorite author. But for now, Milo is content to be at home curled up with his favorite romance books.

Rafe is a lonely alpha trying to juggle his writing career while settling into the gorgeous old manor he's just purchased in quaint Hollydale. He just wants to have a home of his own away from the craziness of his rich, socialite family. All Rafe wants is peace and quiet to secretly write his popular romance novels, and to maybe someday find a sweet omega to love like the ones he writes about every night.

Rafe can't explain the odd happenings in his new home or the strangely sweet little old lady who comes and goes, even when the doors are locked. Is he being gas-lighted, or is there more going on? Rafe and Milo could be perfect for each other, if they can first overcome the red croquet balls that life keeps throwing at them.

This is the first book of The Hollydale Omegas series. This book has 35,000 words and most likely contains an HEA. For listeners 18 years and older only please! And yes, this book contains M/PREG, adults adulting in sexy grown-up ways, and way more than an occasional use of potty mouth language.

Pumpkin Spiced Omega

I hate to say it...
But, this is my very least favorite Susi Hawke book <<out of the 20+ I've read/listened to so far>> Not that I am saying I disliked it, Because I did, like it.. Its just my least favorite since there has to be a book filling that spot.

I just could not connect with the characters. I think a big part of that was due to one of the Minor characters TOM. Tom was annoying as all hell. The whole talking about himself and everyone else in Third Person drove me absolutely batty throughout the entire book. LOL. Him speaking just took away some of my enjoyment for the story in general. Other than that though... This is another cute story from Susi. I think that the omega Milo was sweet and has a totally awesome job I would love to have. The Alpha Rafe ended up being a decent guy, even after his OTT reaction to something that happens mid-book. Cute story, I just kind of wish that Tom was killed off in it, so we don't have to see him in the future.. I might have to avoid his book, I'm not quite sure how much more of him I can stand to hear.

Audio - Drew did a great job. I really enjoy his narrations when it comes to sweet omegas and more dominating Alphas. I think he has a great balance in his voice to keep the two character personalities separate. However, my dislike for Tom was made even more apparent when he was voiced out loud in the narration and not just in my head while reading the book. But overall I like Drew's narrating skills, so that made me also like the audiobook.

Finally Works Out

I enjoyed this story and the side character seemed entertaining and annoying in equal measures. This story failed to get a higher rating because of how angry Rafe got and not really listening to an explanation. Even when he knows he's wrong he just lets things ride.

Spicer than life

Simply amazing I literally purchased the book over on my Amazon and had to buy the audio books from audio I only give you a 4 on performance due to your narrator his voice is irk not really there's no distinction between flowing from one character to the character other Tom sound all the same but plot line makes up for the narrator's .worth the price i also love that if i buy ebook audio gives me a deal on audiobook price.

LOVED the narrator! Same opinion about the story

I believe that this is my first story I've listened to narrated by Drew Bacca - and I thought he did an AWESOME job! I loved his voices! They were different, it was easy to tell who was speaking when, and he brought such life to the characters. I especially loved Tom - GAH I love Tom! and thought the narration was great.

My opinion on the story is still the same as when I first read it. I loved it up to the middle part when Rafe just went off the wall crazy and lashed out at Milo. I hated it then, and I hate it now - it just seemed so OTT and out of character for him when he'd been so calm, caring the whole time up to that point.

Love the little bit of ghostly assistance, and this was a sweet, quick listen. I think this will be a great series in audio!

I received an audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing story and narration!

First of all I am in love with Susi Hawke books!! I just love how sweet and cute they are. So of course when I first read this book I was in love. Now I am also falling in love with the narration by Drew Bacca. OMG he does an amazing job. This is a short book but he makes all the characters come alive. I listen to in one sitting and I just want more. Can't wait for more!

Must have

Reading Tom is fun, Listing to Tom is funtastic! Yes he isn't part of the MC, but who doesn't love Tom.... On to the story then, I have read this and adored it, but listing to it gives it more life it draws you in and immerses you wholly into the story...... Next stop movie deals Susi, let's bring Tom and the gang to life😝
I was a volunteer ARC listener....
