Proposing to Preston

It could have been better. He forgave her to easily after all she put him through. It just felt too rushed. I didn't feel any of her feelings toward him throughout the story. I mean, I felt more of her passion for her career than their relationship. Even when she came back it seemed more like she was feeling unloved and unappreciated and she needed a boost from his view in always putting her on a pedestal because he loved her so much. I honestly felt sorry for Preston. This is a 3.5 rating.

When is it too late?

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is a story of moving too fast before finally knowing what is important in your life. Preston is such a compassionate and loving man. He was crushed when an accident kept him from achieving his goal of being in the Olympics. However, he is devastating when Elise chooses her desire to make it as an actress over him. Elise is a young woman whose goal is to become an actress. When she marries she panics. This story really deals with immaturity and making decisions without thinking them through. You need to find yourself in order to really be able to bond with another. This is what the two of them must do. It also deals with understanding and forgiveness. The narrator does a great job of making us feel the emotions of these characters. I recommend this Audible book.

great series

good read. enjoying the series so far. the narrator is enjoyable to listen too as well.

Love at first site!

Love at first site...that is how I fell in love with Preston. I have fallen for all of the Blueberry Lane heroes, but have to say, Preston has made a lasting place in my heart. Preston first sees Elise while on a date with Beth Atwell. It was lust at first site. You can't help but root for this relationship, and fall for both of them...the young law student and the plain, Mennonite actress. Elise ends up breaking his heart(and you feel the pain right along with Preston). I remember hearing about how Preston doesn't date in Bidding on Brooks, so was anxious to hear the reason why, and I completely understand now. I did want to shake him when he was still carrying the torch two years later...but was pleasantly surprised with the ending. While Preston was able to see issues on both sides of the relationship, which I give him lots of credit for, I found him totally charming, loving, considerate, compassionate and forgiving. Elise does a lot of growing through the story as well.

Lauren Sweet again delivers an outstanding performance.

I wasn't sure about this story at first. As I kept listening I became more hooked. I enjoyed the characters and revisiting previous friends & family members was great.

Lauren Sweet continues to do a fabulous job narrating.
