Publisher's summary

There were two brothers - identical twins - and though I loved them both, my soul belonged to only one.

Annalia Del Valle has loved Preston Sawyer all her life. The daughter of an impoverished migrant farmworker, she grew up as an outcast in what was no more than a tiny, cooped-up shack in California's Central Valley. But her heart found freedom in the land, in the wide-open spaces of Sawyer Farm, and in the boys who were her only friends.

Preston has yearned for Annalia since he was a boy. But a sense of honor kept him from pursuing her until he's unable to hold back any longer and their worlds - and bodies - collide one hot summer night. A night that sets off a chain of events that will alter their lives forever.

Now Annalia is back in town after disappearing without a trace for six long months. Determined to reclaim her heart, her life, and the baby she left behind - the son who was created in a moment of lust and love and pent-up yearning.

Preston has survived grief, a ravaging drought, and the despair of heartache, but he's not sure he can survive Annalia again. And he might be unwilling to try. Will pride and bitterness keep him from the one thing he's always longed for?

How do you heal what is irreparably broken? How do you forgive that which is unforgivable? How do you discover that real honor comes not from circumstance, but from the place deep in our hearts where truth resides? And how do you move beyond the wounds of the past to discover that some loves are as solid as the ground beneath your feet, and as enduring as the earth itself?

This is a stand-alone Sign of Love novel, inspired by Gemini. New adult contemporary romance. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

I really enjoyed this sort of second chance romance or maybe it was a finally getting it together romance. Mia has a rough life and was very naive throughout this book. Preston was a little more forgiving than I would have been but he loved her all his life so I get it. I don't normally like books that have more angst than happiness but Mia Shedian always knows how to full me in!

Sadly, the narration was not great for me. Mercedes Moreno grew on me but for the most part she really just sounded like she was reading to me. J.F. Harding is now on my list of Male narrators who shouldn't even bother with female voices, sadly his female voice is just too much and I would probably have enjoyed his narration is he wouldn't have given the women there own voice or if he did Duet Style narration. He was great with the story and the men for sure.

Heartwarming and Heartwrenching

I love that Mia Sheridan's characters are flawed people not necessarily good or bad, jut people who make mistakes. Well actually, there was at least one bad person, Alicia. This is a very touching story of two brothers who love a girl but in different ways since they were children but how the love manifests has repercussions that affect all of their lives. Mia and Preston have a lot to overcome to have the relationship they've wanted since childhood. The one theme throughout the story is that love, understanding and forgiveness can heal many broken relationships -- and there were plenty of broken relationships to deal with in the book.

Amazing narration -- I couldn't stop listening until the end.

Absolutely worth a credit and maybe a cry too.

Spinning the story

I love Mia's stories, love. I anticipate the twists and turns of her characters as the story unfolds and builds. Lia and Preston were so lost and listening to them find their way and make their love stronger was wonderful.

The narration did grow on me and by the end I could listen and totally be in character, the male's females voice was the most challenging for me, but really enjoyed the rest.

One of her best

Mia Sheridan always walks a fine line between torturous conflict and satisfying resolutions. You always know it’s going to work out but the issues feel authentic and the journey towards the HEA is earned. Incredibly romantic language, well done, just the right amount of sap. I also think the way she handled the migrant worker/Latino element was very delicate and humanizing.

Beautiful and Heartbreaking

This book hit me in the feels so many times. As a mom who went through PPD myself I really resonated with Lia. Add in her mom, poverty and everything else that happened with her and it about broke my dang heart.

While this isn't your traditional love triangle knowing Preston gets the girl from the start, it definitely delivered with the LT angst. I was a ball of nerves trying to figure out how Preston and Lia were going to get their happily ever after.

The audio was fantastic, I absolutely loved JF Harding and Mercedes Moreno telling this story.

Wonderful

Mia Sheridan is just one of those authors that knows how to grab you by the heart and doesn’t let go till the end. There were moments when I wanted to shake both Preston and Lia. But their love story was absolutely beautiful. And the ending made all it worth it!

I liked this alright, but it's not my fave. =/

I need a break from Mia's books after this one...too close to home. This was a somber listen, everything about it being depressing (for me), much like her book Kyland.

Raw, real, heartbreaking, happy ending

This isn’t my usual listen, I listen to raunchy love or thrillers. This was a sad, raw, real heartbreaking story. I was in love with both characters and understood both sides. The narration took a little for me to get use to if the females voice but in the end I liked her. This author is a good one folks!
