Heartfelt Modern Love Story

This book was a joy to listen to. Loved the authenticity of the voices and the touching emotional scenes that wove this tapestry together! A beautiful love story about finding love in oneself and others told in a very clever, funny and relatable voice.

What an incredible story of love and hope even in the darkest of times. This piece gave me all the feels I needed. I listened to this while in my car and it felt like a friend telling me a story as I drove my daily commute. I can't wait for what's next.

Brave journey to take

This was an awesome journey to share with the the women who navigated it and lived through it to thrive. I appreciate the transparency and vulnerability that it took to write and then ultimately narrate this personal quest. I am hoping that the world in general will take the couple of hours this audio book holds. More importantly my hope is that other Trans folks and the people in their circles take the time so that the strife encountered here is not ongoing in as the world (hopefully) becomes more accepting and inclusive. Thanks is the best thing I can say.

Eye opening human manifestation

This piece is mystical, magical and transcendent. All the spiritual aspects gave me chills and goosebumps. The human parts seem almost tolerable because of the universal energy connections of the characters. A true love story created from the universe that sent them through Hell for an amazing outcome.

Terrible

I thought being pregnant and married to a trans spouse this would be a good book after reading all the reviews. It is downright awful! The two characters act like teenagers with all their unnecessary drama and drinking, the voice acting is unpalatable, and it gives trans people a very bad name. Skip this book at all cost, it’s one of the worst I’ve ever picked up.

An interesting listen,

Not something I would go out of my way to read but I was pleasantly surprised to read this. The struggles that the couple go through and their efforts to have a baby. Not to mention, the reactions of others to their pregnancy. Overall it was a look into a world that many know little about.

Beautiful queer love story

Sweet, emotional and endearing story about the journey of a queer couple to make a baby together. Excellent reading for the LGBTQ community about struggles to make a family.

Love always wins in the end

There have been plenty of books written of the turmoil that people suffer to conceive pregnancy. Imagine how much more challenging it would be for a trans woman to temporarily reverse her estrogen in order to produce sperm to be inseminated into her female partners to allow her to become pregnant. This is the incredible tale of exactly that and it a love story of LGBTQ people wanting to start a loving family. The pressures on author Joanne Spataro were unbreakable and this caused huge strain on the relationship. Transgender fertility is a subject seldom discussed and this honest and heartfelt book is an excellent introduction.
