Life Changing...

Okay... the author should not have done the audio for his own book. His reading is awful BUT this book is amazing! If audio is your only option for this book then bare with him and get it. I bought the hard copy too so I could read over chapters that were hard to listen to. This book is a MUST! Practice patience with the reader.

Highly recommended!

This audiobook is fascinating. It's highly technical, so one must be willing to really focus on the content to truly 'get' what the author is talking about... If you are willing to do that...you will surely enjoy it. Great work!

Fascinating but Flawed

the content in Power v. Force is brilliant, enlightening and inspiring. the decision to have the author do the reading was unfortunate.

Fascinating subject. Awful narration.

Dr. Hawkins should stick to authoring & science. With his whiney, nasal, east coast-accented voice and monotone inflections, his narration quickly (like literally within a minute or two) becomes the point of focus rather than the content he's reading to his audience. It's unfortunate because the subject matter really is amazing. I'm sure the doc is a terrific human being but it's difficult to take him very serious when he sounds EXACTLY like Professor Zoidberg from "Futurama". All in all, tho, worth some time & patience to get to the meat of the topic. Even given the distractions I would still recommend this book.

This book really resonated as true. The voice is very monotone, but I got used to it and then appreciated it. The book is very left brained at times with serious study and fact, but is addressing the spiritual and levels of consciousness the whole while. It was very exciting to be reading a scientific study about consciousness that was measurable.

I would recommend this book to everyone especially those interested in religion, spiritual practice, healing, meditation, recovery, or kinesiology!

Information is Amazing! Narration is Horrible!!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I love the information so much that I have actually put myself through the horror of listening to the stinking AWFUL narration. Want to poke yourself in the eye boring reading by the author. Think of the absolute worst lecturer you ever lived through and you will understand. Truly a regrettable mistake that this life changing information is being audibly conveyed so poorly.

Despite some negative comments about the narration I bought this book and I love David Hawkin's narration. Everybody needs to read this book - we can all raise the consciousness of this pitiful planet.
