Great listen for all parents!

I have read and listened to many books on positive and gentle parenting. This book was still very informative and had great reminders for a parent who is already using these tactics. I was very impressed by the last section of the book that extends positive parenting ideas beyond the discipline principles and into helping parents be real role models for their children as positive citizens of their communities. She has several great examples that really opened my eyes to more ways I can teach my child valuable lessons in positivity and life skills she will need as an adult one day. The author really thought about the whole child and their future as adults when she wrote this book.
The narrator of the audio book did a great job throughout most of the reading. I am particularly sensitive to audiobook voices and I was able to make it through this entire book without any major issues with the narration.
Overall, this is a great listen and I will be listening again to refresh myself on these very important ideas in the near future.

Truly down to Earth!!!

I love how this book is down to Earth with real situations that parents face. Parenting is HARD! This book brings to light how giving yourself grace in parenting encourages a child's positive development. Great work!

Valuable Information

This book has a lot of valuable information. Although I dont agree with everything but overall it has great information for parents. I would defiantly recommend it.

Well-organized information and practical tools

This is a great book for someone who has just become interested in positive parenting and positive discipline tools. I found it very helpful to have various parent-child relationship moments described in the book and how the author is offering ways to approach these situations. That said, if you have already started practicing positive parenting and have been doing it successfully for a while, I don't think this is the right book for you because you will likely already know this information.

What I found really valuable in the book is how the author calls attention to empathize with the child, look at the world and situation from the child's prospective. She offers ways to navigate around some situations that would have triggered spanking or snapping at the child.

As a parent I am still exploring the idea of discipline, motivation, and revoking child's rights to something they like doing (phone, TV, computer use). I haven't yet come to a conclusion what is a good method for myself and my kids. But, to be honest, some of the approaches described in the book are more like bribes in my opinion, rather than discipline, and for that reason I'm questioning those particular approaches.

Best parenting audiobook on the market

Grace is a phenomenal author - this audioook is easy to grasp and fun to listen to. I credit this book for instilling within myself the confidence needed to be an awesone mother. Best part is - my husband listened to it with me as well! We did one chapter each night after dinner. Grace - thank you for giving my husband and I the confidence and courage to be awesome parents to our sweet Kaleigh!

I will recommend this to so many people I know! It has helped me out a bunch! And is also entertaining.

Great parenting book

I have read my parenting books, and I must say that this was one of my favorites. It really made me reflect on my parenting and convicted me on several areas that I need to work on. I love that it provides tools on how to handle difficult parenting situations. I know I will be listening to this book again. The narration was also great. I highly recommend this book for parents who practice or wish to practice positive parenting. I also loved the reminder on the importance of positive parenting because it often times feels like we are going against societal norms.

And they say parenting doesn’t have a handbook?!

Move over “back in my day” generation and open your minds to a new way of parenting! Proven to work and raise healthy mentally/emotionally available adults! Which is what this world needs!! Don’t believe me? Read this book, try some of the tools and watch it blow your mind!! I love this book and the only thing I would say is that certain things that are said about table manners, and how to act should come with a clause about age appropriate behavior. Age appropriateness is very important in the world of positive parenting. With that said I’m not saying it doesn’t cover that area, it is just important to keep in mind when reading it. I 100% recommend this book!! I don’t read but the audiobook was very easy to listen to and I was done “reading” it and it didn’t seem like any chore at all!!

The perfect Positive Parenting - How To!

I appreciated the fact that this book was written from a realistic point of view. I would recommend this book to any, and all parents who struggle with parenting “not so easily disciplined” children, as well as parents who are new to the idea of “positive parenting”. I finished this book with a significantly better understanding of how and why positive parenting is the best approach, vs other styles of parenting. Overall just a great, informative book!
