Wonderful story

Once again Rebecca Yarros provided a captivating storyline in this novella. Great narration for each character. Highly recommend this series.

Story line

I loved reading this book. I couldn’t stop listening to the book until it finished.

3.5 Stars ⭐️

This was a very short novella that is the prequel to the Legacy series. It introduces us to FMC Emerson and MMC Sebastian Vargas. The two of them were apparently best friends for several years and grew up together. Both of their fathers were part of the "Hot Shot" fire team which was a very skilled and qualified team of firefighters. There was a tragic fire 6 years prior to the start of this story and most of the Hot Shot team was killed in the blaze. The fire apparently burned down most of the town.

To make things worse, our FMC and MMC finally slept together for the first time ever and Sebastian "Bash" did an incredibly dumb and immature thing - leaving Emerson in his bed and leaving without notice. Actually LEAVING town. He never spoke to her, called her or contacted her again. Needless to say, she was devastated.

The story starts 6 years later. Bash has come back to town to try to put the Hot Shot team back together. He is terrified to see Emerson because he knows he did a stupid thing, but as luck would have it - they end up working on the project together. The two of them are like magnets and we get to watch as they navigate this new situation.

I listened to the audio version which was narrated by Meg Sylvan and Tim Paige. who did a fine job on the narration. This was a quick and easy listen without too much drama. I have not read the series so I'm not sure where the story is going from there, but it was a complete story with a HEA.

Second Chance Romance

Point of Origin is a second chance romance. Sebastian left Emerson because he was an idiot. Now he’s back to re-establish a hotshot crew. Emerson still loved him and Sebastian still loved her. It’s a short story that was fine.

the romance of it

I could get lost in the romantic intimate scenes made me wish I hadn't met my husband yet !!!!

But it is still a Rebecca Yarros book.

It’s not The Last Letter or The Likely Event but still one of her books. Like watching an episode of MASH that’s not the best but you’re still watching MASH…!!

Some fires can never be put out

Some fires can never be put out, especially when it comes to true love like in Point of Origin! I loved this story. Thank you for another great book Rebecca Yarros! You never disappoint!!

Love the Book

I’m a huge Rebecca Yarros fan and I’m now reading all of her books after finishing Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. Love this book! Not a huge fan of the narrators.

Good starting to the series

I will likely not continue because I’m at a place in my life that I no longer get much pleasure listening to detailed play by play of sex scenes. This story will not disappoint if this is your jam.

Now listen, or maybe not! I am a fan of RY works, but some of the early on ones, listening to them and reading the now are not getting it for ME! and I've listened to these narrators in some of my favorite audio books but this one was sandpaper to my ears! after the first 2 hours I had to speed it up just to endure. I guess time makes both authors and narrators better. But this was NOT it for me and so disappointed. I tried and finished and I really want a refund...
