Wonderful story

Once again Rebecca Yarros provided a captivating storyline in this novella. Great narration for each character. Highly recommend this series.

Story line

I loved reading this book. I couldn’t stop listening to the book until it finished.

This was a very short novella that is the prequel to the Legacy series. It introduces us to FMC Emerson and MMC Sebastian Vargas. The two of them were apparently best friends for several years and grew up together. Both of their fathers were part of the "Hot Shot" fire team which was a very skilled and qualified team of firefighters. There was a tragic fire 6 years prior to the start of this story and most of the Hot Shot team was killed in the blaze. The fire apparently burned down most of the town.

To make things worse, our FMC and MMC finally slept together for the first time ever and Sebastian "Bash" did an incredibly dumb and immature thing - leaving Emerson in his bed and leaving without notice. Actually LEAVING town. He never spoke to her, called her or contacted her again. Needless to say, she was devastated.

The story starts 6 years later. Bash has come back to town to try to put the Hot Shot team back together. He is terrified to see Emerson because he knows he did a stupid thing, but as luck would have it - they end up working on the project together. The two of them are like magnets and we get to watch as they navigate this new situation.

I listened to the audio version which was narrated by Meg Sylvan and Tim Paige. who did a fine job on the narration. This was a quick and easy listen without too much drama. I have not read the series so I'm not sure where the story is going from there, but it was a complete story with a HEA.

Second Chance Romance

Point of Origin is a second chance romance. Sebastian left Emerson because he was an idiot. Now he’s back to re-establish a hotshot crew. Emerson still loved him and Sebastian still loved her. It’s a short story that was fine.

I could get lost in the romantic intimate scenes made me wish I hadn't met my husband yet !!!!
