The event is almost over.

Before Raven lies a new ball of questions that he cannot unravel alone. His acquaintance with Niyara makes it clear that the universe is not only a boundless bunch of galaxies but an entire system of thousands of servers connected by a network of teleports, inhabited by many different civilizations.

Raven is aware that he is far from undergoing one such trip himself. Instead, he decided to focus on new techniques, old friends, and tasks that still weigh heavily on his shoulders.

Trying to complete one such task that he had received from Arrey, he finds himself involved in a conflict that puts him against an old nemesis and a cult. This time, their plan extends to the Krutan Kingdom.

In the fight for the truth, Raven will, whether he likes it or not, learn many dangerous secrets.

I noted in my earlier reviews of this series that the translation seems very stiff. The slang and sayings seem to be brought straight across instead of replacing them with an equivalent slang or saying. This is still an issue, but either it's getting better or I'm getting used to it. Book 1 was pretty good, book 2 was okay, and books 3 through 6 were an effort to finish. If they weren't on Audible plus, I would have never finished this series. For me, it's too much, "here is how I think an MMORPG would work in the future followed but a lot of the MC patting himself on the back for being so focused and an awesome gamer with a snippet of story or character development. There are times I fell asleep listening to the story and had no urge to rewind and figure out where I left off which isn't good. With book 7 & 8, the author introduces a "larger multiverse" concept to the game with some alien shenanigans being pulled somewhere in the multiverse. I'm also not losing focus as much due to poorly written and uninteresting content, so book 7 and 8 seem to be an improvement. I'm not sure if a good editor is helping, improved translation, improved writing, or if I'm just getting used to it, but the story is improving. My journey with this story would end here until books 9 and 10 are moved to Audible plus, but they have an 85% off sale which makes the last two books under $6 combined, so I'll pick those up just to see if the story continues improving. Summary: book 1 & 2 3.5-stars, books 3-6 2.5-stars and a big MEH, books 7 & 8 3.5-stars or 4-stars.

Finally starting to become interesting
