Publisher's Summary

Nova Scotia, 1952. Not exactly the place you'd expect to run into pirates. But an old mariner, his boat driven ashore in a gale, brings with him enough stories about buccaneers and their lore to make it seem that he must have had firsthand experience of the pirate life. But how is that possible? Captain Charles Johnson's uncanny knowledge of seamanship's dark side fuels the imagination of the young boy he befriends, setting the boy on his own journey of mysterious adventure.

A great Pirate tale for all ages!

What a wonderful book. I believe it was for children or teens, but read better than most adult literature. This way exceeded my expectations. This is a book that should have a sequel. A++

This will be a beach read for years to come

I love this book. I wanted something with a piratical theme while I was on vacation and stumbled across this wonderful blending of fiction and non-fiction, letting myself be transported to the shores of Nova Scotia while I stared out at the receding tide. 100% recommended for adults and children alike. Any member of the brotherhood should heed this tale!

Pirate's Passage! Fun Read!

First saw movie on Netflix by same title then searched out book. Numerous differences between the two, but both were hauntingly fun!
