Aussie Surprise!

I enjoy the K-9 Rescue series by DD Ayres, and admire the people who work with these intelligent animals. This book amused me a little, from an Aussie perspective. Surprisingly, words like jumbuck and even jackaroo are not part of our everyday vocabulary, and the school of the air operates in our outback - based in Alice Springs, which is not in our capital territory - Canberra. Apart from this, the book contained interesting characters, ones who struggled with aspects of their life, found ways to be successful with determination and supportive friends and featured our four legged friends, the furry heroes of this series.
