Publisher's Summary

Does the end justify the means?

Cyrus Johnson is rich, powerful, and used to getting his way. When his estranged wife shows up at his office demanding a divorce once and for all, he not only refuses, he makes a demand of his own.

Daniella Barrett-Johnson has little bargaining power where Cyrus is concerned, and he's already used his vast financial resources to prolong their divorce and keep her tied to him. Her only hope is to give him what he wants, but if she does, how will she ever be able to leave him for good?

Enjoyed

I enjoyed the first book in the series and now I decided to get book two on audio. I was unable to put the book down until I finished the last page. I would recommend this Johnson series to family and friends.

Emotional. Great listen.

I loved the storyline. The narrator drew so many emotions from me. I laughed, I cried, I sighed and I got angry. I love when that happens. It makes it feel personal, like you are a part of it.

Great Series - Horrible Narrator!!

The Johnson Family is a great series, Delaney Diamond does it again! I had already purchased this series via Kindle Books a few years ago and knew it was a great read so when the audible version was released I thought great I'll purchase it to listen to the stories I was so familiar with. Much to my disappointment the narrator was horrible! I knew all the story lines and had envisioned how the characters would sound and this was not at all what I expected! Great male narrators like Cary Hite, Marc Damon Johnson or Pete Ohms would have been great to listen to as they would have really brought out the characters in the story as I knew them to be! Always remember that when doing an audible book it doesn't matter how great the storyline may be the book is only as good as the narrator portrays it to be.

HOOKED!

My name is Jewel by the way not Eunice. I am in LOVE 💘 with the Johnson Series. Initially Cyrus comes off as a controlling buttheads but as you learn who he is......He is a strong, confident protector of the Johnson Family. He takes his role as the leader in his family seriously. Michael Pauley does a Fantastic job with that bold voice for Cyrus. I imagine Cyrus looking like Lamman Rucker. Ha! I understood Daniella's frustration and position. Her marriage felt manipulated and deceitful. She had to learn how Cyrus expresses love. This could have all been solved with transparency in their relationship. Me Delaney's creative works have been PHENOMENAL!!!! I have listened to the whole Johnson Family series.

This story is perfect!

From my initial read of this novel, I was hooked on the writings of Delaney Diamond! Once this story was released in Audible I was over the moon! Michael Oakley really makes the telling of this story come alive. I have said it before and will say it again, I love anything written Ms Delaney! I am a super fan of her work! Great to read and great to listen to!

Horrible narration.

I've read book 1 and 2. The story was good for both. But, the narrator was horrible. I will not continue to listen to the other books in this Johnson saga. First of all, because of the narration, second, because upon reading and listening to excerpts of the continuing story of the Johnson brothers/family, I find the other two brothers characters are uninteresting. Ivy and CJ stories were not!🙂

Mechanical Voice

The narration was so strange, robotic sounding and cold, I️ almost couldn’t get through it.

Perfect: Johnson Family, Volume 2

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I enjoyed book one however this one was awful. Cyrus was an asshole and I didn't enjoy listening to a women being subjected to this manipulation.

Has Perfect turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes, I won't purchase book three.

Would you be willing to try another one of Michael Pauley’s performances?

N/A

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Perfect?

I'd change his character

Any additional comments?

Hated it!
