Wish I could get my credit back

I have so many issues with this book.

The way it’s written sounds like the author just took a bunch of pamphlets from AA and other sobriety info articles and spliced them together.

The way the narrator speaks sounds like he’s a robot trying to mimic the way humans read. His inflection is completely off and makes it extremely hard to follow where a sentence begins and ends. It sounds so forced that I almost think he’s doing it on purpose to be quirky.

I forced myself through about half of it before I couldn’t take anymore. I didn’t absorb anything.

Is it possible to get my credit back?

Very Interesting

Want more pleasure and less pain? That's the nature of the human condition, but sadly, the source of suffering. This book creates compassionate understanding about our desires and cravings and teaches practical wisdom about how to relate to them without causing more suffering for ourselves. This book is listening with warm understanding and kindness.

Love the lessons and stories. Love the rawness and honesty. I am finding so much in this book to love and use in my journey. it for anyone struggling with self destructive patterns and behaviors. This is listening to set you free. For punks, free-thinkers, humanists and other general non-adherents to mainstream anything.

I Love this book

I've had trouble with the God references in the (fill in the first initial) Anonymous groups and didn't feel comfortable. This is perfect because I identify as Buddhist. But even if you aren't Buddhist, I believe this would help anyone who does not believe in a God or some entity that will come down from heaven to make your life what you want it to be.

Lovely it seems

Just started listening this. It seems moving already. Glad we bought it. I think everyone could benefit from a book like this. I've listen other books on the subject but this approach is much easier to focus on and very welcoming. The book arrived in great shape and quickly. The seller seems really cool too and included a nice note. Thanks

Beautiful Book

The most important part of the book focused on how addiction is less about substance and more about your mind having control over your emotions. Suffering is a mental state of emotion that we instinctively recoil from. Embracing it is the key.
