Publisher's Summary

In a bid to take down MS-13's criminal network in the Mission District of San Francisco, Michael Santini, a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations, recruits a pair of hardened gang members and convinces them to risk their lives as criminal informants. Set in a city with one of the strictest sanctuary policies protecting illegal immigrants in America, Operation Devil Horns illustrates how politically correct ideology impacts life-or-death crime fighting on the streets.

Through the informants' eyes, Operation Devil Horns offers a rare glimpse into the pervasive criminal subculture of MS-13, a gang of Spanish-speaking immigrants that still terrorizes pockets of American society today - including their own compatriots. The case begins with a focus on the gang in San Francisco, eventually widening to include a network that reaches across borders. Santini tracks down the gang's leadership from the Bay Area to the prison cells of corrupt Central American regimes. Eventually, it takes the cold-blooded murder of three family members in San Francisco to shake the American public out of complacency and focus sober attention on a growing and violent threat.

The best excuse we got to build the wall

Excellent book.
The story as told by the people that were there.

As an immigrant to this country that came here looking for a better life and freedom from oppression I say this much.

This book is the best reason we got to build the wall and control who come into the country and who doesn’t.

Just okay...

There are better books about gangs like The Black Hand. This was okay, but was hoping for more. This felt more like a news paper article.

Wrong narrator for this.

Good story

Enjoyed it. Started off good, then went shallow for about a chapter, then was pretty intense for the rest of the book.

Good story, annoying narrator

Decent book but hard to get through because of performance/delivery. The story was literally 1/2 over before I could settle in.

Narrator (John McLain) sounds like SNL's Adam Samberg's impersonation of Nicholas Cage. Yes, funny because it's overwrought but also totally distracting for the length of an audiobook. Why should the listener have to work so hard? And why do publishing houses employ narration with oratorical peculiarities? In the audiobook realm, a narrator can make or break an otherwise good title.
Story itself was good. Unexpected side note: The story reveals some not-so-nice things about certain left-leaning California politicians, some of whom you'll know, choosing identity politics & party affiliation/career over public safety. Yikes. For shame.

One of the worst narrator's that I've ever, dreadfully, listened to!! I couldn't even get through the second chapter.

Best Book Showcasing The Real Street Heros

This book gave a gritty and geniune description of what actually happens and how crime is prosecuted in our country today. The MS13 gang should not be glamorized but documented for lessons learned on how their institution is easily infiltrated and is a waste of taxpayer moneyto minitor and lock up. This book is a fantastic depiction of the dedication that it takes to control and destroy a gang that tries to terrorize our neighborhoods. Thanks to honest citizens like agent Santini that assisted in providing a perfect example of how to check and elliminate these animals from our society. Easy and entertaining listen that all Americans should educate themselves to be aware of and preserve the freedom of our Country here in the beautiful USA.
