Publisher's summary

The Taliban want her dead. But first they have to get past Breed.

Breed, a Delta Force veteran, is surprised when he is called to meet an old acquaintance—CIA agent Anya Stein. She offers Breed a mission he can't refuse—to rescue an American soldier, Robyn Trainor, held captive in the mountains of Afghanistan.

When the mission goes sideways, the Taliban hunt Breed and Robyn over some of the harshest terrain on the planet—thousand-foot cliffs, wailing wind, and freezing nights. It's a landscape from hell, every bit as lethal as the killers chasing them.

As the Taliban close in, Breed finds the stakes are higher than he ever dreamed—because Robyn Trainor is not what she seems. She is a player in a greater game. One that ends with an explosive showdown in Washington DC's highest corridors of power.

Open Season—the second in the stunning Breed action thriller series. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Jason Kasper, and Jack Carr.

Needs editing! Audible this ‘tape’ is flawed.

The production not thoroughly edited. Has a place where the current chapter is overdubbed with a previous chapter. This has been noted in reviews from at least three months ago and yet it still remains. Come on Audible!

The story itself is entertaining and interesting even if not believable - but this is fiction:) I like the Breed character, but I also preferred him in Book 1 where I thought he had more depth. I am still going to go for Book 3 in the series because it is like going on an adventure from the safety of your couch;)

Oh, and the reader does an excellent job. The three stars for the performance is totally due to the unfixed technical issue.

Great Story

I enjoyed the background story, the people, the landscape, and how it portrays just because people are different from us and our culture does not make them bad people

Recording over dubbing

The last 3 chapters have several sections that are over dubbed with other sections from earlier in the book, and worst of all with sections later in the book. Disappointing end to an otherwise decent recording

Reader should research how to say names like Fayetteville and abbreviations of military jargon and the like.

Fast paced intellectual suspense must-read

I didn't even take the time until now (book 3) to leave a review. I started book 1 yesterday and could not stop listening. My new favorite author. I would stick around to say more, but book 4 just downloaded so I must be off. p.s. start w book 1 it makes much more sense that way

Military action, background love story that eventually flushes out. It’s an interesting new series tho

Review of book 2

I enjoyed the first book so I went ahead and listened to book 2. The story was slow to develop but it gets there, however, the narrator was disappointing. Also, while listening to chapters 36 -38 I was getting a feedback in the sound. I restarted the book and advanced to where the feedback started and the problem continued. Could be my connection or the uploaded the book.
